I had my son 2yrs ago and had a third degree tear, the tear has healed pretty well but I had huge issues with a chronic fissure which required botox and an advancement flap procedure as well as 18 months of laxatives, careful diet and cream. I'm now pregnant again and feeling totally overwhelmed about my birth options. I have seen the consultant who has suggested I could have a c section however I wondered if anyone had experience of having a vaginal birth after fissures? I'm keen for another vaginal birth as first time it was all done in less than 2 hours and this time I will be at home with my boisterous (to be) 3 year old and the baby.
Any advice or experiences appreciated!
