Plug or show before anything else?

Hello, just wondering if I have to look out for my mucus plug and/or bloody show before I can be on the look out for contractions or waters? Had my show with DS following a sweep after my due date then contractions started 2 days later so am wondering if it still may be a while yet? (currently 38 weeks with a girl).

I had a dull period type pain for about 12hrs before mucus plug, then pretty much nothing/mild contractions for almost 48hrs before they started getting any more intense.

Not necessarily, some women never see their show and like your waters, this does not always happen before labour kicks off, it can come away once you are already in labour.

Think it's different for everyone

Mine: weird pain like constipation, few trips to the loo, aching, gentle contractions, mucous / plug coming away, more contractions getting stronger

And with my second, I have no idea, really quick from light contractions to giving birth so didn't see the plug or anything like that
