What do first kicks feel like?!

I'm 23 + 4 with an anterior placenta so haven't been feeling movement yet! Got heart beat checked at the hospital on Monday as I was worried but all is good!

I'm just wondering what did the first kicks feel like for you?

I've been feeling weird pulsing/throbbing kind of pains on my right side a little above my hip the past 2 days (really light though) - and wondering if this is the start of kicks! But it's not constant just every now and then.

Hi, I have an anterior placenta too - I first felt movement at around 18 weeks, at first, movements were a little bit random and gentle, a bit like fluttering/bubbles in my tummy.

Like little butterflies fluttering! At first it was so subtle I only noticed if I was sat still.

Daisysandviolets · 10/09/2020 19:11

for me it almost felt like someone was tickling me from the inside with a feather!

Superscientist · 10/09/2020 19:15

For me it felt the same as when you can feel your pulse in your lip or ear or a tiny little twitch.

Phiphi123 · 10/09/2020 19:18

Like bubbles popping on the inside of my belly Smile

Like popcorn popping in your tummy Grin

Persipan · 10/09/2020 19:25

For me it felt like being pinged with a tiny, tiny elastic band.

Like little bubbles and then popping popcorn 😍

@Daisysandviolets You have no idea how glad I am that seen your post - I’ve never seen anyone else give that description 😂 That’s how I described my early movements too and people looked at me as if I had 3 heads 😂😂🙈 they kept saying “no, it feels like butterflies” and I’m like “NO! It feels like I’m being tickled really gently but from the inside” 😂😅

SoPanny · 10/09/2020 20:06

Bubbles or a fish!

💯 this! A weird pulse/twitch sensation. Took me ages to realize what it was the first time! 2 pregnancies and still no idea what it feels like to have those butterflies that others speak of 😆
