Best maternity jeans

Hi all,
Where is the best place for maternity jeans. I have tried a few different places and I am really struggling to find a pair. I have ordered the over the bump ones and to be honest as I am only 18 weeks it seems like there is loads of material and the jeans don't sit right (I am sure it won't be long to I start to fill the stretchy part!!) Also do all maternity jeans seem to sit low down? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I always get my jeans from misguided and was over the moon to find out they did maternity ones!! I got the sinner maternity jeans and I love them!! Although I got a size 16 and probably should have gone up one more size for comfort instead of looking good 🙈😂

I loved my next jeans - comfiest jeans I’ve ever worn

I went with new look as the sizing was perfect and had a pair of under bump for the earlier days and now wear over the bump ones and have done since I 'popped' but still get away with the under bump ones too.

I got a pair from gap the other day that are brilliant. Over the bump ones always feel way to big and never stay up, but these ones have a proper zip and button fly with little stretch tabs in the side so they grow with your. Super comfortable.

I have Topshop over bump jeans and they've been perfect so far - I'm 29 weeks and they still fit really nicely.

Thank you @ChlOeWh, @Laaalaaaa, @27andcounting, @lookingatthings and @Frazzlerock I will have a look online at all your suggestions and order some to try. I think I am in the inbetween stage - own jeans getting tight but then some maternity ones seem big. They are seem very low waisted....but maybe that is just the style.

H&M were always the best for me

(And yes they are all low waisted as your waist will disappear as you get more and more pregnant! 😜)

I had over the bump and under the bump - under got returned as I didn’t like them. Was gutted when the over the bump ones became too big to wear! 🤣

Spam88 · 10/09/2020 14:42

Yeah they are really low so that the denim will sit under your bump. I liked H&M but I also wear H&M normal jeans so I think you're probably best going with whichever shop you normally get your jeans from (assuming they do a maternity range of course!).

I prefer overbump but they get quite stretched later on so had to get new ones at the start of my second pregnancy 😂

Topshop over the bump. I bought the style that I wore prior to be long pregnant.
I don’t really get the under the bump ones, they seem like they would be uncomfortable.

I had a pair from gap which looked lovely but just kept falling down. I thought that was maybe just the case with all maternity jeans, but just bought a pair from h&m out of desperation of having nothing to wear and they are great. Only issue is they are a little short in the leg for me, but I guess that depends on how tall you are. I found under the bump worked better in the beginning but over the bump better further along

EBM20 · 10/09/2020 17:02

I love my new look over the bump jeans! I have 2 pairs one light blue and one a darker blue!

Alabamawhirly1 · 10/09/2020 17:10

Until about 5-6 months I size up, wear jeggings or use a hairband to keep my normal jeans fastened then pull a vest over the top. So hair band through the eye, loop through itself then over the button. You can actually buy a waist extender thing too buylt I find a hair band works better.

None of the jeans are actually very good. Under Bump dig in, over bump fall down and make your tummy too hot. I much prefer dungaree and jumpsuits. Boohoo have some nice all on ones in the maternity section and Jo Jo mama do nice dungarees.
