Morning sickness?

Hi ladies,

So I'm 4 week 5days today with my first.

I had a bit of a worry as my boobs aren't that sore this morning but a quick google seems to say that's ok.

However I don't really feel sick but I've been retching a lot this morning.

Is this the start of morning sickness?

Probably! Some people are never physically sick, they suffer from nausea and retching. I think I was sick less than 5 times in my first 16 weeks but the nausea was a bitch! Congratulations!

My mum was never sick she just felt nauseas. I'm still clinging to every sign beams still tucked up cosy in there!

Could be. Don't worry if you don't get it as it's usually around the 7 week mark the placenta takes over and that's when it kicks in.

@Twinkletoes85 I’m about 4 weeks 6 days with my first! How you feeling? Isn’t it terrifying!! I got my BFP only yesterday & couldn’t sleep last night with anxiety!! Going to be a long 9 months 😂 Feeling nausea and not much else, except peeing a lot! xxx

Twinkletoes85 · 10/09/2020 11:26

@MJM1608 I still can't even tell you how I'm feeling! I got my bfp on Monday and I've been a weird mix of excited and terrified ever since!

I think I might have a uti so I've got a docs appointment to check it out.

I'm peeing a lot, I have some I want to say cramps but that's not the right description, swirly feeling is probably more like it but it comes and goes.

@Twinkletoes85 congratulations btw! Smile I know really hard not to get too excited but then you also have worries too! Already thinking about how to lie about drinking & how I tell my friends and family 😂

Oh ouch - Hope it clears up soon! Yes totally agree it’s like butterflies!! Have you booked any appointments with midwife or done any sort of planning yet? xx

Twinkletoes85 · 10/09/2020 11:42

@MJM1608 congratulations to you too!

Well I'd just booked an appointment with the doctors to discuss fertility so I had to call and cancel that and they gave me the midwife number instead 😂

So I've got my first appointment on 1st October. They were asking where I want to give birth and I was like I can't even believe I am yet!

What about you?

@Twinkletoes85 no way, that’s so funny I was exactly the same!! We paid £550 for fertility tests & my hubby was booked in for an appointment yesterday. I thought I better take a test just to make sure it was negative before we start the process and it was bloody positive! Since we have already paid I’ve changed my appointment to a 7 week scan which is two weeks (24th sept).

Did you have to pay upfront or did you manage to keep your money? Wow that’s exciting! It’s so hard to believe until you see a scan, going to be a long few months!! xxx

Twinkletoes85 · 10/09/2020 12:08

@MJM1608 if only just booked the gp appointment so wasn't out any money.

The doctors told me to stop being so anxious (luckily I don't have a uti) her test was really faint and so now I'm terrified again.

We've booked a private 7 week scan already to set my mind at rest.
