Hello all,

Question says it all really. I'm 39 weeks, had regular period cramps and backache last week...which stopped when I stopped/significantly reduced my bowel movements (combination of iron tablets and anti sickness). I have been on a mixture of Fybogel and cosmocol the few days but no results so far. Considering trying glycerin suppositories in the morning as I'm desperate to unclog!!! Any tips are welcome

No. But when labour kicks off your bowels will probably evacuate!

Fresh figs are great for BO and drinking buckets of water. Walking helps too. Try to avoid things with a lot of sugar (not fruit sugars obvs). Coffee always helps too, even decaf.

Two out of three of my labours I've decided that I definitely need to poo before the baby comes out. Both times the baby came before the poo!
