Am I overthinking?

Hi

So I'm 8+5 today and have woken up after an previous evening of (sorry TMI) quite bad diarrhoea and my symptoms seem to have vanished overnight.

Since 7 weeks I've had constant nausea and a very heighten sense of smell. (I can't go into my kitchen without wanting to be sick) but as I said this morning boom it's gone and I feel ok.

I am a worrier after loosing pregnancy last year and am trying to think calmly in that it could just be a good day for me and I should enjoy it, but here I am Googling what it could mean. Could it be linked to the diarrhoea, is this something I should contact my GP about?

Any one else been through something similar for everything to be absolutely fine?

X

I had recurrent diarrhea in early pregnancy with DC2, my doctor wasn't concerned (and suggested it could be linked to the prenatal vitamins I was taking)

My symptoms (with DC1) also started to ease around 9 weeks as well, so I wouldn't read too much into that.

Best of luck, pregnancy after a previous loss can be a complete mind fuck!

Diarrhoea is very normal in the 1st trimester. It’s actually a good sign that you are still pregnant.
If you’re worried give EPU a call.
Congratulations on your pregnancy. xxx

Thank you both it does help in getting other people's opinions when you are left with your own thoughts 🤯

My boobs do still hurt so maybe I'm just overthinking. But at the same time i swore I'd listen to my own body after this also happened at 10 weeks last year and ended in a missed miscarriage so maybe I'll call the EPU for guidance tomorrow if I still feel uneasy.

have you had any scans during this pregnancy?

To put your mind at ease you could book a private one?

My symptoms have been coming and going between 8 and 10 weeks- especially the nausea which was constant from 6 weeks. Now 10 weeks and a bit and almost all gone including the very painful boobs.
Just feeling tired.
I am also paranoid each time - including today, but last Friday i had a scan and all was good despite symptoms easing off.

I also had a loss last year and this makes us so much more paranoid. My DP today told me that either way there is nothing we can do at this stage and whether it is good or bad news we just have to go with it. But to remain positive! Because it is also normal that our bodies adjust to hormones. Similarly people have had MMC with symptoms still being there full force. So i don't think we should focus too much on them...

I hope this helps you too x

Hi @SunnySideUp2020 thank you for your message. I've got a private scan booked for the 19th so next Saturday and will be 10 weeks by then.
Did you find your symptoms came and went day by day or for a longer period of time?

Your DP sounds sensible a little like mine he always calms me down when I have moments of anxiety like this. It is true what will be will be and I need to learn to understand that more. The lack of control is something I'm defiantly not great with!
