Can I have some recommendations for pregnancy pillows please? 😊 Did you find they helped? 😊

I would be so lost without mine! It's been an absolute lifesaver for me!
Don't scrimp on a cheap one either. Mine cost around £40 from Amazon and it was worth every penny! Most likely will be used after I've had my baby too!
I've got a C Shaped one but each to their own on preference.
Please do buy one. You won't regret it

I've got a 'bbhugme' which is excellent. Nice and squishy but can be adjusted to be as firm as you like. Love love love it!

20viona · 08/09/2020 21:12

Do not get a dream genie!!- crap!

Snackasaurus · 08/09/2020 21:44

Thanks guys. I'll definitely have a look 😊

@lockdownpregnancy I’m thinking of getting that one. Does it take over the entire bed? DH is worried he won’t have any space or covers lol (we have a king size bed)

I wasn’t planning on getting one but my midwife said I have to sleep on my side straight away. I imagine that might be easier when I have a bump and have no choice but I’m 9w and finding it impossible to get comfy and end up just rolling onto my front for some shut eye. Hoping a pillow will force me

Gerdticker · 09/09/2020 00:27

I just got a five foot long bolster pillow, and sleep with it between my legs, and wrap my upper arm over it. It’s been a game changer for my SPD pain - can’t sleep without it now x

Babydancing2020 · 09/09/2020 00:28

Ive got the niimo was only 25 pound and i absolutely love it will deffo use it when the baby's here in november!

SunStruck · 09/09/2020 04:06

I second a bbhugme! The best investment ever, I got it early on so I'd use it a lot and for it to be worth the money... I'm definitely going to use it even after the baby is here 🤣 it also looks nice and could pass for a pillow decoration for the bed if you get the right color. I got one in marble (and when I make the bed it goes horizontal across the bed under our pillows).

lockdownpregnancy · 09/09/2020 08:53

@LuckyFlash I slept on my front right up until I 20 weeks with no problem, but I didn't pop until then so I was ok as I couldn't sleep on my side either.
The pillow is big and we have a king size bed too. We have managed fine as the pillow curls around you. The only downside is if you try and turnover as it's a bit awkward.

WhatWouldPennyDo · 09/09/2020 19:44

I got a generic one from Amazon, then upgraded to a Dream Genii. As I got bigger, neither did the trick.

Have just invested in a BBHugMe. Oh my goodness! Game changer! Pricey but has meant I can sleep again, so worth every penny pound Grin

excitednerves · 09/09/2020 20:58

I'm also a bbhugme lover. I got it in my first pregnancy and still going strong in my second. Soooo comfy and really gets rid of any niggles in my hips and back. I love it so much I bought their nursing pillow too.

It's pricey but has good resale value and frankly its worth every penny if you can afford it.

Viletta · 09/09/2020 22:10

I've got a bbhugme me luckily as a gift it's whooping £140 but really really good and I think it helped me sleep. I started having hip pain around week 20 and got the pillow, it never bothered me again!
It's more like a yoga holster and you can make it firm or sort by adjusting sides or firm on one side soft on the other end.

MoonW · 09/09/2020 23:09

I ordered the bbhugme a few weeks back and it’s been incredible and made such a difference. To me it’s 100% worth the money because it’s so much more comfortable than a ‘pillow’ style pillow that doesn’t have any give... if that even makes sense?

Unicornbaker · 10/09/2020 08:32

Just got my bbhugme delivered this week, early days here as only over 15 weeks but it’s so comfy, the hubby has been trying to share it 🤣 I now can’t imagine life without it!! Game changer!

Kreacheriscleaning · 10/09/2020 09:01

I have a full body pillow similar to this www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/55/32835/cuddles-collection-12ft-body-baby-support-pillow-white/
Which is a good price in the sale!

It is my favourite thing in the world right now. I love that I don’t have to move it much if I want to roll over and that it also supports my back.
I had a dream genie last time which was a bit crap.

CorpusCallosum · 10/09/2020 15:30

I had a dream genii at a size 14 during pregnancy it was too dainty to offer much support. I'm hoping next time I'll have maintained a now slimmer physique, we'll have upgraded to a bigger bed and I can get one of those massive U shaped ones off Amazon 😁

Kodiak83 · 11/09/2020 09:49

Bbhugme all the way! Has been a game changer for hip pain this pregnancy versus previous two!

Oneandabean · 11/09/2020 10:58

I had my first night with one last night, hoping it would keep me from rolling onto my back. It didn’t. And it’s so uncomfortable to sleep with a pillow between your legs. Total waste of money. I got a 12 foot one from Asda

IsabellaMozzarella · 11/09/2020 11:04

Same as above, the 12 ft giant sausage from Asda was the best for me
