My niece had a growth scan two weeks ago showing baby to be 5lb 5oz today her growth scan showed baby as 7lb 8oz. Now she’s only 5ft and 7stone so she’s not massive and her last baby measured 7lb 11oz leaving her with an episiotomy and a third degree tear. She’s seeing a consultant on Monday who wants her to be booked in for section. Or induction. Would you advice her to ask for a second scan? It seems excessive for the baby to be 2lb heavier in two weeks does it not?
