Hi all,

I'll try and keep this short and sweet so yesterday I was walking the dogs and I got a horrendous pain in my lower tummy, it got so bad I couldn't even walk so I asked my husband if we could go home and I was literally leaning on the car to steady myself whilst we loaded the dogs in, when I got home I felt some fluid in my underwear - I genuinely thought I started my period (even though I'm 19 weeks pregnant) so I ran to the bathroom and there was a clear fluid in my underwear so I called the midwife and went into hospital - they checked on the baby, he was okay thank god and they did an internal (which really hurt, it doesn't normally hurt me but I was crying and begging them to stop which really isn't like me) they couldn't find anything wrong except I had some trush which doesn't explain the pain.

Same again today, I went into work as I WFH and it was so painful, I could barely walk or get comfortable - I went downstairs to get a drink and actually fell down them due to the pain, I only landed on my foot but still hurt.

I ended up signing off sick and the pain is still here, the only way I can describe it is they feel like the worse period pains of my life (if I didn't know any better I'd genuinely think I was losing my baby) I just don't understand how they can be so painful without anything being wrong :( I feel like I'm going crazy :(

Did they check for tribe infection? Are your bowels alright? Did they rule out waters breaking?
Regardless - if you’re still in severe pain, go back and get checked again. Hope all settled now though.

That should say “urine infection”..

One of the things I remember about being pregnant (a long time ago now) was the feeling like someone was sticking a knife right up me and twisting. The pain drove me to the hospital in a panic.
There is a LOT going on and ligaments softening and stretching can be painful. Really painful BUT I second the PP who asked about urine infection. Add that in and I can imagine pain like you are describing.

Don't be afraid to go back if you need to.
