Hi so i have 4 girls and with all 4 i was really sick from the get go, I new i was pregnant with them all before i even got a positive test because the sickness was so so bad.

Im 6 weeks pregnant now and i honestly feel amazing, I have no sickness and very little nausuea. My partner is wondering if this could be a sign that baby is a boy?

I really dont mind what baby is and will be just as happy if baby is a girl, I do think tho that deep down my partner would really love a son this time round because it really is our last baby. It just got me thinking if any of you noticed different sickness pattern with your boys and girls.

Thank you

None, DD1 no sickness or nausea, DD2 terrible nausea.,

Disappointedkoala · 07/09/2020 18:12

Sick with one, not with the other. Same sex.

toriaplum · 07/09/2020 18:25

No sickness with either DS or DD. Lots of nausea with both.

nachthexe · 07/09/2020 18:30

It really is so individual....

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 07/09/2020 18:50

2 girls, no sickness

MaddeningtheUnhelpful · 07/09/2020 19:03

1st awful awful sickness. Ended up in hospital as couldn't even keep water down and lost two stone. Boy
2nd full of energy, felt amazing, no sickness. Girl
3rd terrible sickness. Ended up medicated. Couldn't stand anything that smelled at all so food, clean laundry, soap. Boy

MrsJamieLWeir · 07/09/2020 19:10

I’m expecting a boy and still experiencing sickness and I’m 21 weeks, I was convinced it was a girl as I was so poorly at the beginning!

Seeline · 07/09/2020 19:12

Horrible sickness with both - one boy, one girl.

tiredanddangerous · 07/09/2020 19:16

I thought I'd got away with it with dc2 then the sickness kicked in big time at 7 weeks. With dc1 I was dizzy and nauseous before id even missed a period. Both girls.

hiredandsqueak · 07/09/2020 19:34

I had horrendous sickness with my boys. Like you I started with sickness before I took a test. I then realised I had missed a period, assumed I couldn't be pregnant as I wasn't sick but I was. I wasn't sick at any point and had a girl. It was business as usual next pregnancy and I had another boy.

FizzingWhizzbee123 · 07/09/2020 19:34

Two horrid HG pregnancies, two boys.

nildesparandum · 07/09/2020 19:39

Very very sick with first baby right up to past 20 weeks
Second baby never even felt nausea no vomiting at all
Both boys

FilthyforFirth · 07/09/2020 19:44

Two HG pregnancies, horrendous sickness for both, have one boy and expecting a 2nd.

Rtmhwales · 07/09/2020 19:50

Hospitalized sick with a boy.

My friend has 3 DC - ridiculously sick with her DD. Sick again with pregnancy #2 - DS. Not at all sick with pregnancy #3 - DS.

Not sure what causes it, though studies do suggest higher instances of HG with girl pregnancies (not by much..).

kim160790 · 07/09/2020 20:51

3 boys absolutely no sickness whatsoever.
Currently pregnant with a little girl and nausea since 3-4 weeks.
(And does it really matter if someone says gender?? If somebody wants to IDENTIFY as an opposite gender then cool).
Fingers crossed for a boy 🤞

DramaAlpaca · 07/09/2020 20:52

Horrible sickness with all three. All are boys.

Snackasaurus · 07/09/2020 21:07

No sickness at all (very lucky) and we are having a girl 😊

RoseGoldEagle · 07/09/2020 21:13

Bad sickness with first-girl. Almost no sickness with second- boy. No sickness at all with third- girl. Not sure there’s a rhyme or reason to it!

sweetkitty · 07/09/2020 21:19

I’ve had four pregnancies and the same morning sickness with all four, same cravings, carried the same, same bump shape, same SPD, same everything.

3 girls 1boy
Nothing gave it away that the last one was any different

Both children I was sick from about 6 weeks to 14 weeks. Very similar both times.

One boy, one girl.

stophuggingme · 07/09/2020 21:34

DS1 - dreadful sickness morning and night from the get go until about 14 weeks and back again from about 18 weeks until 30 weeks
DD- felt like utter shit. Dreadful headaches and grinding nausea but no vomiting as such

DS2- horrible nausea until about 14 weeks but no being sick. Nothing after that

Charlottejade89 · 08/09/2020 07:59

Dd I was sick 4 or 5 times a day til 14 weeks and went off lots of foods, couldn't stomach much and felt nauseous pretty much constantly.
Pregnant now with a boy and had nausea daily from about 7 weeks but not all day and no sick ess at all. And it had gone by 11 weeks. So the old wives tale was definatly true for me
