Hello all, I hope you don’t mind me posting to ask this, but I am wondering if there are any expectant parents out there who are due in October/November who might consider being part of an infant observation course I am beginning at the university of leeds. The observation is of new born development up to the age of 2. It is a weekly one hour long observation, which is a big commitment for any family I understand. Many families have been part of these observations over the years and have supported students to learn more about infant development and how best to support families with supporting children’s emotional and general development through early years and beyond. I gather from former students and families that have taken part that it is a rewarding and interesting experience to be part of. I would be really grateful to any parent or parent to be out there who might consider this request, I live in Manchester so am trying to find someone in this area. If you would like to know more please let me know and I would be delighted to talk more. Many thanks, Katie

You might be better asking on your personal Facebook for people who you already know or friends of friends. It’s a bit of a tall ask to find total randoms to give an hour of their time for 2 years. I say this as someone who has completed a PhD, it’s tough finding participants to take part in short experiments over a few weeks. I’d look within your existing network first, best of luck!

Thanks RunnerRunner, I know it is a big ask and I am looking in all my networks too, just thought it would be worth a try on here! You never know;)
Best wishes, Katie
