Hi ladies

I am 16 wks 3 days I have had a midwife app today and heard hb again which helped my anxiety as I still have a wait till 20 wk scan, when did people start buying baby things? I feel scared to like i might jinx it, sounds so silly I know but I am very negative person and struggling to stay positive! Had a mc a yr ago, it died at 6 wks I know I am a lot further on so need to start being more positive about this.

Anyhow with prams etc I literally dont know where to start my friend said no harm in having a little look now and getting ideas, I dont want to spend loads and loads on one, just something that can see through from baby stage to toddler maybe, any ideas on where to find a decent one but not breaking the bank, I have no clue what the best ones are people recommends, with car seat fitted etc, an all in one

Sorry for the rant!
Thank you x

I got this one
www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/baby/pushchairs-and-strollers/travel-systems/origin-by-babylo-2-in-1-travel-system-and-car-seat-charcoal/p/184092

It's very cheap and seems to have good reviews. I have not put it together yet but will do soon. I started buying bits after my anomaly scan and trying to do about one 'big' purchase a month to kind of spread it and not splurge a whole months pay at once. This month will be a bouncy chair! :)

I used to worry about jinxing and didn't want much in the house in case the worst happened.

So I waited till closer to 30 weeks to let anything in the house. Have a look into ordering times. Our car seat didn't come for a couple of weeks.

Clothes - really don't need much to start with and people all seem to gift 0-3 months when really baby lives in baby grows.

For peaks - there is so much choice and a fortune to spend. We started off with a second hand pram - Chassis and carrycot until I worked out what I wanted. Key features were ease of putting up and down and how much did it fill my boot. Get down to a shop and take a look round

I started making a list after the 16 week appointment of what I thought I’d need (need rather than want!) and started researching brands etc.

Ordered my pram at 24 weeks as some have a 10-12 week wait on them apparently - we just went to an independent shop and tried a load out. I wanted to get second hand but family wanted to pay for it.

We’ve picked up so much second hand on FB as well as already been given, so my remaining list is pretty small now!

It's worth starting to have a look if you want! With buggies it's worth having a good think about how often you'll use it, what you'll use it for, and what sort of surfaces you'll be on. It's worth measuring your car boot too to make sure it'll fit comfortably. I wanted one with a big basket for going out shopping but also an easy fold because I'm out and about in the car lots - a couple of friends brought ones that could be adapted to doubles as they wanted two kids close together.
