Anterior placenta

Hi, I have an anterior placenta, and I haven't yet felt baby move, this is normal with an anterior placenta at 18+5 weeks, so I know he's ok, but it's just starting to get me down that I haven't felt anything that noticeable yet that I know is definitely him moving xx
Anyone who has or has had an anterior placenta, when did you first feel baby move and what did it feel like? I don't understand what a flutter is supposed to feel like 😂 xx

DS1 I had a posterior placenta and felt movement around 17 weeks.
DS2 was anterior and I didn’t feel him until around 21 weeks (was after my 20 week scan)

Hi! I have an anterior placenta and have only just started feeling flutters. I can’t even be 100% sure they are baby moving but just taking a guess that it is, haven’t felt kicks as of yet. I’m 21+5 xx

I have an anterior placenta too! I didn't start to feel even faint flutters until nearer my 20 week scan. I'm 26 weeks now and feel them on my left side where there's a little placenta-less gap. Haven't felt any on my right side at all. I worried about this too but when you get your 20 week scan you'll see how thick the placenta is and that it's covering most of the front of your tummy, so takes ages to feel proper movement!

I felt some very slight movements at around 20 weeks but even then I couldn't be sure..

I definitely didn't feel flutters..more straight to kicks from about 22 weeks

Im 32 weeks now and it's still difficult if the baby changes positions

I started to feel mine move at around 19/20 weeks. It’s hard to describe, but at first it was a bit like when you see a big bubble bloop through a water cooler! Now at 26 weeks I can feel distinct movements like when they roll over or when they kick.

This is similar for me - I feel them way more on my left side than my right. I also sometimes feel them very low down in my belly.

I didn't feel movements with anterior placenta till 21 weeks (with DD1, posterior placenta, felt them at 13 weeks). 27 weeks now and they'[re unmissable! However, I never feel anything in the middle of my bump (where my placenta is), only around the edges and the top/bottom.

Thankyou everyone, that's made me feel better, hopefully I will feel them soon, I'm 18+5 weeks so hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll feel something xxx

I've started to feel him kick as of 20 weeks, haven't had any of the early fluttery feelings just straight to what feels like little pokes xx

I feel my boy kicking its like huge bubbles popping in my lower tummy only started today at 22+2 where my placenta isn't covering or I feel or tickles on the sides of my tummy been feeling tickles since about 18 weeks.

Having an anterior placenta feels like it will be a constant worry if we don't feel. Our babies x

MnM156 · 22/09/2020 22:35

I have an anterior placenta and am in my 26th week. I didn't feel the baby move at all at 18 weeks. I think I felt flutters once or twice in my 19th week but can't be 100% sure. I was sure of the proper movements in week 22/23. Even then they were very sporadic. Now I feel the baby move everyday at random times. It has taken some time for me to understand movements. Still no pattern established but definitely movements are there.
18 weeks is still early with an anterior placenta. Just relax and give it a couple of weeks. All will be well.

I had my 21 week scan today and my placenta has moved upwards so I'm feeling all his low kicks, they get stronger every day and can even see some from the outside it's amazing ❤️ Thankyou for all your experiences and support ladies it made waiting to feel him much easier x
