Are pot noodles the cure for morning sickness?

Currently at 6 weeks of baby #3 and the morning sickness has hit HARD!
The only thing I can stomach are chicken pot noodles and sparking water.
Would love to know what everyone else is reaching for when the nausea strikes 🤢

They are obviously the cure for YOUR morning sicknessGrin!

MrsK89 · 06/09/2020 13:32

Peppermint tea, salad, crackers, lemon water x

BillywilliamV · 06/09/2020 13:32

I ate a lot of tinned peaches when I was pregnant!

DramaAlpaca · 06/09/2020 13:33

It was cake for me, especially chocolate cake Confused

No wonder I was the size of a house by the end.

devildeepbluesea · 06/09/2020 13:34

Baked beans and orange juice for me. Doctor friend wondered if my iron was low. it wasn't.

SqidgeBum · 06/09/2020 13:37

Honestly, there is no cure for MS, so all you can do is try various foods to see how they make you feel. For me on DC1 it was innocent smoothies, toast, and chicken nuggets. On DC2 (pregnant now) it has been potatoes, fish just grilled, and chocolate biscuits. It's different for each person and for every pregnancy. Its hit and miss.

QuacksInTheDark · 06/09/2020 13:39

Not for mine. It just made more the puke even more disgusting which led to even more puking. Chain reaction 😑

user1483387154 · 06/09/2020 13:39

for me it was cheese and salad wraps. Even the thought of anything else made me more nauseous

GreenTiles22 · 06/09/2020 13:40

Marmite on toast was the only thing I could stand to eat for months! Hang in there

keepingbees · 06/09/2020 13:50

I remember my pregnant colleague stirring water into a pot noodle and promptly running to throw up at the smell. So no not for everyone Grin
Nothing eased mine apart from sips of cold water or cola, and sour boiled sweets helped stop me gagging on the school run. Keeping blood sugar as stable as possible seemed to help.

Heyha · 06/09/2020 13:54

Not being hungry was my cure for morning sickness so eating anything and everything, at odd times of the day, is totally acceptable in my view 😊 the days I could stomach my vitamin tablet were enough to get over any fears about malnutrition and whatnot.

Fizzy pop and any beige carb/savoury snack were my go tos. Went off cheese and coffee for a while which was devastating as they are my only two vices 😂

ineedaholidaynow · 06/09/2020 13:55

Maltesers, tortilla crisps and Frosties (without milk) were my go to foods when suffering from morning sickness. Not sure what my excuse is for snaffling the first two now that DS is 15!

MsWonderful · 06/09/2020 14:06

Kiwi fruit

aToadOnTheWhole · 06/09/2020 14:20

Hash browns. Sometimes with a little bit of cheese on.

BloodyCreateUsername · 06/09/2020 14:20

Cucumber seems to be my thing and super noodles. Angry

BloodyCreateUsername · 06/09/2020 14:20

Not angry’ 😂

coffeeandjuice · 06/09/2020 14:21

Anything salt and vinegar. The weight gain is insane!

MummyFD · 06/09/2020 14:43

I started this pregnant googling healthy pregnancy recipes but honestly at this point whatever I can keep down is a bonus. Everything listed sounds amazing (apart from anything with cheese 🤢 although that's usually my number one snack!)
@keepingbees I had a similar experience on my flight yesterday where the air steward was making himself a pot noodle and the smell of it sent me straight to the bathroom!

@Heyha similar with cheese and coffee - my two favourite things in the world ☹️

@BloodyCreateUsername 😂

Nope

For me it was polos and flat lemonade

Khajit · 06/09/2020 14:47

Hot and sour cup a soups! And very cold full fat coke.

Pretty much kept me alive during my first pregnancy.

MummyFD · 06/09/2020 15:28

@Khajit I can't get enough of full fat coke!

aToadOnTheWhole · 06/09/2020 16:35

Oh! And I spent a large amount of last week eating cheese crackers with smoked cheese and pepperoni on. Yum.

Smiling89 · 06/09/2020 17:24

@coffeeandjuice Me too, so many salt and vinegar baked crisps. Somehow avoided too much weight gain - it was sometimes the only thing I ate though.

GAW19 · 06/09/2020 17:38

DD was beef space raiders, only thing I could eat from 4 weeks to 3 months Confused
This pregnancy is apples, ice cream and orange juice Grin

ladyfarmer · 06/09/2020 19:46

What is it about eighties and nineties food? I’m chugging Capri Suns like they’re mojitos (I sodding wish they were) and getting through three packets of salt and vinegar chipsticks in a sitting.
