TMI Bleeding 38+4

Hi ladies

I have had some bright red bleeding/spotting this evening and called maternity triage who said to keep an eye on it. I have just been to the loo and passed what looks like a blood clot on the toilet paper. TMI but I have poked it and it felt jelly like in consistency, not sure if it a blood clot or bloody show or mucourls plug? Was dark red and the bleeding has been bright red.

Should I phone again or is this all part and parcel? This is no. 3 so I shouldn't be so phased by this really should I?!

Called, at maternity triage now

I had this at 39+3. It turned out to be a very very bloody “show” but I also thought it was a blood clot when I first saw it! I went in to labour later that day.

They have done the trace which seemed fine touch wood. Dr has tried to look at cervix but tried 3 speculums and couldn't see properly. Midwife is going to try and get registrar to take a look. She is thinking cervical ectropian

OMG they are keeping me overnight and inducing me tomorrow! Not what I expected and I'm feeling really shell shocked and emotional

Hi thanks so much for your message! I was induced last Sunday and gave birth to a little girl on Monday evening! Really didn't enjoy being induced as an experience but we are both well and happy xx
