Welcome @MrsJ89, you have the same due date as me!
I have booked a Harmony test for Thursday @Babafarmer so fingers crossed for a more reassuring result with that Smile I'm sure it will all be fine but I don't want to stress about it for the next 6 months!

holb54 · 08/09/2020 21:05

Welcome @MrsJ89! 💓

@chloxhunt globe not glove!

holb54 · 08/09/2020 21:10

@Wren1986 if you don't mind me asking, how much is it for the harmony test? (Presuming you're in the UK!) Thinking about it myself but it's expensive enough in Ireland

Thank you for the welcome @Wren1986 and @holb54! ❤

Wren1986 · 08/09/2020 21:27

@holb54 it was £419 just for the test, to have a scan as well would be £459. The clinic is really well reviewed and they were recommended by the screening midwife I spoke to; we should have the result back in around 7 days.

LuHen · 08/09/2020 21:43

@Phie04 I actually had the flu/ cough jab discussion today. Nurse told me 'both would be done at 20 weeks visit however, if you can get flu jab def get it as soon as poss as it takes two weeks to become effective.' Smile

@aureliacecilia my acne has got bad too and I cant use any of the products that normally keep it at bay! GP told me I can use benzyl peroxide though so I'm using that, and it is helping. Mine is horrible and cystic around my jaw line Angry

holb54 · 08/09/2020 21:46

@Wren1986 that's not too far from us here actually, the adverage here seems to be 430e... on the fence about getting one done but I am looking into it! Thanks for getting back to me on it 😊

Babafarmer · 08/09/2020 22:01

@Wren1986 that's good. I did a lot of research as I was thinking about getting it done and it's much more accurate and usually totally different to the combined test. Xxx

SnickerdoodleSnek · 08/09/2020 22:05

@chloxhunt Ugh I hate one-uppers! Taking a break from them is a good idea, and you can adjust your post privacy to exclude certain people in your friends list if you need to.

Is anyone else planning a private gender scan between their 12 week and 20 week appointments? I seriously don't think I can wait 8 weeks from the first scan! DH is onboard and we're considering Window to the Womb as we've heard good things.

LandMammal · 08/09/2020 22:05

I had my scan, bloods and combined tests nearly 3 weeks ago and still no news....no news is good news??? but 3 weeks? 🤔 Anybody else waiting tis long? I have 16 week check on Thursday so will hopefully get some sense from midwife!

Is anybody else waking up very early, like 3-4am and struggling to get back to sleep?! I'm a walking zombie 🤪 2 young kids, work (from home thank god!) on 5 hours sleep.....🙈

holb54 · 08/09/2020 22:12

@SnickerdoodleSnek we're planning on booking a private scan before the 20 week scan and hoping to find out gender then! It'll ease my mind getting the scan anyway and my 20 week won't be until I'm actually 22 weeks so it'll drag even more 😂

Manrita · 08/09/2020 22:12

@LandMammal I keep waking up between 3am and 4am. Some nights it can take me a good couple of hours to get back to sleep and by then it's nearly time to wake up!

Manrita · 08/09/2020 22:13

I like the idea of the Facebook group too

chloxhunt · 08/09/2020 22:16

@SnickerdoodleSnek yeah that's exactly what I'm doing! I've got more things to worry about than her posting when I do

Phie04 · 08/09/2020 22:22

Thanks @LuHen Il call tomorrow.

Phie04 · 08/09/2020 22:28

Sorry to be crude (although, we all are in this position from the act) but does anyone else find sex painful whilst pregnant? Im not sure if its to do with dryness during pregnancy but even using lube and what not doesn't seem to help. It takes a few minutes before it stops being sore! Its not incredibly painful just sore.

Oldermum80 · 08/09/2020 22:32

@Phie04 sorry I can’t help, no idea as I’m either too tired or feel like crap 😂 think it’s been twice since I found out I was pregnant, but worries based on my history didn’t help in the early days!

Phie04 · 08/09/2020 22:35

@Oldermum80 I have been the same! As soon as I get into bed I'm out like a light! I guess we have other things to think about. Perhaps not having it as regular is one of the reasons 😂

Dreamcatcher007 · 08/09/2020 22:41

@Phie04 Regarding flu shot, our GP called me today to book an appointment for our 2-year old, but for me she recommended just getting it at the pharmacy (Boots, Superdrug, etc). She said that if I say I’m pregnant, I’ll get it for free (otherwise I think it’s around £15, from memory). I already had the appointment at Boots booked for me and DH anyway as that’s where we get it every year. Otherwise she said I could wait until the surgery starts vaccinating all adults, but it might take a month or two as they are doing only 65+ and kids for now, so I didn’t want to wait.

Phie04 · 08/09/2020 22:57

@Dreamcatcher007 thankyou. I may just look into doing it outside of GP

Babafarmer · 08/09/2020 23:30

@SnickerdoodleSnek yes I have one booked for 2 weeks tomorrow. Hope baby is in the right position xx

Aurora124 · 09/09/2020 02:33

I can't sleep 😥 i booked an emergency scan for today because I fell over again on Sunday and haven't felt right since. I have to go on my own because there is no one to come with me. Its going to be a long night.

Enjoy07 · 09/09/2020 03:35

@TheFoz that does seem ageist! However if you think of it as extra appointments and extra people looking after you it’s not a bad thing! I have to be consultant led and just trying to put a positive spin on it - so far the only difference is I have a telephone appointment booked with them the week after my 20 week scan.

@Aurora124 sending lots of positive vibes your way, hopefully the scan will put your mind at ease. I’ve been awake most of the night with a terrible headache! Finally taken some paracetamol so hoping it eases soon xx

DSP21 · 09/09/2020 04:16

@Aurora124 also sending you good vibes, hopefully all is fine and it'll be a nice reassurance and excuse to see baby x
