Am I in labour??

FTM & 41 weeks pregnant. I’ve had ongoing period cramping for the last few days & figured it could be the early stages of labour. Had a sweep with the midwife yesterday & I was 1cm dilated with my cervix soft but still thick (sorry for the tmi). In the last few hours I’ve had a lot of pain & pressure in my lower back that seems to mimic period type cramping in my lower stomach with small intense periods of pain. I’ve been trying to time them but the discomfort is always there so difficult to do. I had felt like I was having a slow leak of waters earlier & have put a pad on to monitor it, it’s more like a clear discharge, like when you have a runny nose, rather than waters. I was just looking to see if anyone had any advice on if this could be the start of labour??

Sorry for the long & tmi post! Blush

Oh there’s never too much tmi with pregnancy chat! Sounds like it could be the start yes, I’d recommend just trying to be comfy and do what your body feels like doing, rest, move, whatever. When things are established you won’t be in any doubt so just relax as much as you can and hope it’ll soon be time to meet your baby! Flowers

Oh thanks so much everyone! I’ve felt like it’s been starting for the last week but nothing ever comes to anything so I’ve been too scared to get my hopes up! Blush
