Hi all, just wanting some advice. I did a clearblue test at 4 weeks and got 1-2 weeks did it again at 5 weeks and got 2-3 weeks, got the same again at 6 weeks and done another one at 7 weeks 2days and got 2-3 again. Would you give the EPU a call or is this normal? I have no symptoms but didn’t when I had my little boy either. Apart from with my first it gave me 3+ by 6 weeks.

Thank you xxxxx

Have u been booked in for an early scan either by ur local epu or a private scan?

Midwifes won’t appreciate you ringing them up cause clear blue isn’t giving u a 3+ weeks as they aren’t reliable. But I understand how u feel. Personally if it was me I would book a private scan to make sure everything is going ok.
Clear blue weeks indicator can be inaccurate and I’ve read loads of women’s stories on here saying they never got their 3+ and went on to have healthy pregnancies but have also read stories where it was an indicator of the pregnancy not progressing and unfortunately I have been in that category.

There is also the chance of the hook effect where the hcg levels become so high that home tests can’t read it correctly and end up looking like that have picked up lower levels of hcg.
Really if could mean nothing at all or unfortunately it could mean bad news. You were really know unless u are scanned but epu will only scan u if ur bleeding very heavily or in a lot of pain. Book private if u can. And good luck XX

Everyone's hcg levels are different and they vary throughout the day and with how dilute your urine is, so I wouldn't pin too much on the weeks reading. I do understand your concern though. Have you tried a normal test to see how strong the line is? If the line is nice and dark I wouldn't worry.

Hi @Katievb I posted this last week as well I was 6 weeks getting 2-3. I was also concerned as I didn't have many pregnacey symptoms and it didn't feel right. Unfortunately I started bleeding on Monday. I have a scan today but I am 100% sure I have miscarried. I called EPU and they wouldn't see me as I had no concerning symptoms at the time.
HOWEVER this does not mean the same for you those tests are not always accurate and it could be fine if you have no other concerning symptoms you could try calling your EPU as they may have different rules to mine. I think you need to go with how you feel, alot if women never get a 3+ on those tests and it all works out fine.

Hi op sorry you're going through this..... I had a similar experience last week. I got no help from epu til I started bleeding. It was an indication of miscarriage but that isn't always the case. If you can I would suggest a private scan to ease your concerns xx good luck

Thank you for all your messages and sharing your experiences! I did a normal pregnancy test 2 weeks ago and line was darker than control line. I have my booking appointment with midwife next Thursday and have just booked an early scan for next Saturday so hopefully get more answers then.
I will keep you all updated. Thank you again xxx

Hi only just manage to sign up to this thread, here for some advice my last period was on the 10-01-21, Which makes me 17 days late for my Feb cycle, I took a Clearblue test wasn’t first morning wee but it came bk pregnant 1-2 wks but going from my last LMP I should be almost 7 wks so would have though it would have said 3+ wks in test, just worried as I had a miss miscarriage pregnancy on 12th September last year so really worried it’s happening again due to the test reading xxx

Hello ladies so nearly 7 weeks pregnant but still showing 2-3 on clear blue

HarriC · 27/08/2022 07:32

How did you get on? I am the same. I am 6 weeks 6 days and still 2-3 weeks on the clear blue. I am 37 and a bit overweight so scared as high risk! X

TivoliHA · 15/09/2022 06:07

How did you get on? Currently 6 weeks 4 days and I'm getting 2-3 :( very worried and my early scan isn't until Wednesday next week (6 days away!)

Ttc1367 · 24/09/2022 12:22

Hi. I’m in a similar boat now, 7 weeks pregnant but clear blue saying only 1-2 weeks. I was hoping you’d share an update on how things were with you

TivoliHA · 24/09/2022 13:43

I didn't retest on clear blue to be honest as it made me so anxious that day. But I went for an early scan when I thought I was 7w3d but measured 6w5d and the baby was perfect. I would highly recommend going for a scan as it'll be a lot more accurate than clear blue and you'll get a better idea of where you are in terms of weeks. Good luck!
