Hey I just gave my belly button a good clean but was digging in it and what not to try get all the dirt out but then something crossed my mind that is this safe as the baby's placenta is connected I know I might sound crazy 😂 please bare with me as I have anxiety and first time mum also I have experienced a early miscarriage before this pregnancy so I'm a bit worried about everything thank you x

The babies placenta is not connected to your belly button so please do not worry. Wait till your belly button pops out it will be easy to clean then. So many things to worry about when you are carrying a baby, this is not one of them. Congratulations by the way Smile

Your belly button has nothing to do with your baby's umbilical cord.

You’d have to be doing some real archeological-dig level cleaning for baby even to notice! It would hurt you a lot before it hurt baby!

Your belly button is just the scar left from how you were connected to your own mum via the umbilical cord all those years ago :)

It’s just skin now, so clean away!

Also, have a good google of what the anatomy of a pregnant lady looks like inside - you’ll see how it all Iines up :)
