BFP yesterday, BFN today... Help please!

Hi everyone!
I'm 14dpo today. Yesterday I tested in the am because my temp was still up and normally would drop by 12/13dpo ready for the delightful AF. I was in a pickle yesterday because I didn't wait the full 10 mins before looking at the result (it was 6.30am and I was tired and not thinking) so I threw it in the bin as it was bfn. When I looked a couple of hours later it was a clear positive with a blue line so surely can't be evap? I actually posted on here and everybody who replied said that's positive and not evap. I have attached photos of both the positive and negative tests. Anyway fast forward to this morning where I've tested with a clearblue rapid response (yesterday was an ultra early) and its completely bfn! My temps are still up and cervix is nowhere to be found , I'm normally like clockwork with my periods so whyyyyyyyy is this happening. Can I just have some thoughts please as I hardly slept last night, me and my husband have already suffered 2 miscarriages with no children yet and it's all we want. I will add that I did get up in the night to go for a wee, not sure if that will affect anything and the ultra early detects hcg at 10miu/ml whereas the one I used today is 25 however at 14dpo I would expect a positive? Thanks in advance for any help!

I think the test is normally not considered valid if the line doesn’t come up in the stated time window, but that isn’t always the case.

Apparently red line tests are more sensitive, so I would try and get one of those and test tomorrow with FMU.

That's what I thought it wouldn't be valid after the time period but everyone I've spoke to and showed the photo (which is attached to this post), said it looks positive and not evap. But like you said, I didnt get to read the result until a couple of hours had gone by so who knows? I guess all I can do is wait and stop being crazy! Haha

The positive test looks too positive to be an evap, evaps (for me) have always been squinters rather than a blinding positive, which i would say yours was.

I was getting positive FRERs but a negative digi to start with and then the digi caught up and became positive a few days later. Try a FRER tomorrow and see what happens. Good luck!

Could you get your hands on the same type of test as yesterday? It might be that the HCG isnt quite high enough for the 25miu one yet. Or even better a FRER. Also I found I had better lines on my second wee of the day with a 3-4 hour hold than I did first thing. Good luck!

Yeah I had a look and it seems my local boots sell the FRER tests so going to buy one today 🤞🤞🙏

You should get a clear enough positive on a frer if you take one at any time of The day now. Good luck. Keep us updated xx

Completely BFN on FRER 😭😭 absolutely gutted but will do FMU test tomorrow if my temps are still up! Maybe it was a chemical? Who knows!

I’m surprised by your FRER result The Clear Blue from yesterday really did seem like a positive, it’s unusual to get such a strong evap line with colour. Good luck for tomorrow morning. How confusing for you.

That's way too strong to be an evap OP. I'm so shocked by your FRER saying negative! Maybe it was the time of day/ your wee was too diluted?! Try again with FMU

It really is confusing. Thanks so much for seeing this through with me ladies! The last year has been such a struggle as my first pregnancies both ended in mc and mmc, the mmc was january and we've been trying since then to conceive again, sometimes feel like the universe is playing a cruel joke! Fingers crossed again...I guess! Xx

Aww u reckon? Thanks for giving me some hope I'm starting to just think that first test went wrong and AF is just late.. I get so stressed I literally lose sleep over it, how does everyone stay sane?!😂 Or are we all the same?? Lol

Another update - FRER negative this morning with fmu. 15dpo temps still up. Will let you know when AF arrives in case anyone else gets something similar in future

Frer aren’t the best. In fact they are starting to get a bad reputation. During 4 pregnancies, yes 4. Frer never ever ever gave me even a hint of a positive from 7dpo to 19dpo. Even tho clear blue early response was giving my clear positives. And I’m a serial tester that’s tests with numerous different brands every day til 6 weeks pregnant

Same with my current pregnancy. I am 10 weeks pregnant and got my BFP at 7dpo I’m clear blue and at 10dpo I started getting BFP on ic. Yet all my frer were negative every single day. I am also on another thread on this site and other mums have experienced the same issue with frer.

Forget the frer. They are crap. If blue dye works for u then continue testing on them and watch for a line progression. If the second line has blue in it it is not an evap line. (Don’t go near Tesco tests as they are known to give false positives )

Another possibility could be a chemical pregnancy, but fingers crossed it’s not.

Again get rid of frer and stick to clear blue x

Have you got anymore CB tests?? Try again with one. That one was far too clear to be an Evap x

Thanks for your responses! I feel as though AF may arrive today sadly. I've been temping and it was the same as yesterday at 6.30am but then I checked it again at 7.45 and it was 0.2 degrees lower so I think it's a sign AF will be here. And I know it doesn't signal anything but I have been getting mild cramps this morning.
I've got a clearblue early digital left so il do that in the morning if I've not come on but will see what happens! I will tell you all when she's here! I've read soooo many forums where you don't see the outcome so good or bad news il update! I've still got a slight glimmer of hope, but only very slight!

@Cindi30 good luck for tomorrow, cramps are totally normal in early pregnancy also and a temp drop 1.5 hours later is completely normal also
