I'll keep it brief. 36 weeks +2
Sharp stabbing pains for the last few days and major period pains and cramps.
Last night contractions were coming every 4 minutes. Went to hospital and cervix has started to open but not dilating just yet. Doctor used the words 'something is definitely going on!'
Contractions kept coming but sent home with codeine and told to come back (obviously!) when I think things progress or I get 3 contractions every 10 minutes.
They have eased but still keep getting pains.
Been told it could be today, couple days or a couple weeks! My question to you lovely ladies is if you had this how long did it take for you to go into full blown labour??

No personal experience, but came to wish you good luck! Such an exciting time!

My first was like this. I took 4 days with a sweep in between. Started on the saturday, she was born early tuesday morning. Hope you've managed some rest

Exciting. Wishing you well.

Thank you ladies. Nothing doing today! More pains more contractions but all too far apart to go back to hospital yet!
Managed to get a two hour nap in today! Bonus! 💪🏻

Sleep and eat. Then sleep some more. Then eat. Could be days. Could be a week... honestly. Sleep.

Thank you @physicskate I'm going to definitely try and get as much sleep in as I can!
It's all gone a bit quiet this evening so I don't think anything will be cracking off tonight but we shall see!
I reckon a few days but who knows!
Could be a couple of weeks! 🤷‍♀️
