Hello everyone,

hope you are all good. Im new but i read this forum quite often and i am hoping for some reassurance/advice.
I have found out i was pregnant Sunday 23.07.2020. That was a couple of days before period was due but i could feel it. I didn't have massive symptoms but i had a weird metallic taste in my mouth that day and the day before and while sitting on the carpet i felt like something coming down and i thought: "there we go, not just period has come, i might have marked the white carpet", as it felt pretty heavy and wet. I rushed to the bathroom and there was no blood, just watery discharge. So i called my by and told him to get me a few tests which all showed positive that night and the next morning, i used 3 boots, 1 FR and 1 CB digital showing 1-2 pregnant. I am 99% sure i ovulated 09.08.2020 and that day we did the "homework" :). I couldn't believe it specially because 3 days before my boyfriend brother and gf announced they were expecting and the day before we found out my bf best friend found out they were expecting too! I let you imagine the excitement and happiness. I have been waiting for this moment for 12 years (Im 32 yo). I stopped smoking the same moment i saw the BFP, i started straight away for iron and folic acid supplements and i was just over the moon.
Everything felt ok, boobs were starting to hurt, horrible night sweats, a slight feeling of nausea, and tiny small cramps all over my belly which for me (i have endo) felt like nothing as i am used to quite strong pain and wee was increasing...all good signs although not very pleasant.
I spoke to friends and one in particular, the one who found out the day before us, had the same symptoms as me, night sweats and cramps.
i spoke to my mum, and to my gynaecologist in Italy, all good, all sounded normal, we just needed to wait the first scan.
Wednesday night though i went for a wee and i saw on the paper some brown spotting which i read was ok and normal if wouldn't turn into red and wasn't accompanied by heavy cramps. I still panicked and couldn't stay positive. nothing in my life ever goes to plan. By Thursday morning the bleeding was red but only on toilet paper so i booked myself to the EPC for the same morning. Due to corona virus restriction my bf couldn't come with me.
They did a urine test on me which showed positive, so then they did an internal scan which showed nothing at all but the lady said that was because it was too early as i was 4 weeks and so they did a blood test telling me that if BHGC were higher than 20 i would have had to go back on saturday morning to repeat blood test and so on monday etc etc. They said we will call you just to tell you not to come. If you dont hear from us we will see you on saturday.
After 2 hours i was back home they called and said BHGC were 12 so i was miscarrying and they were sorry and to take it easy for a couple of days and obviously not to go back on saturday.
After another hour or so some pain and cramps had started but i couldn't tell you to what extent as i didn't want to feel it so i bombarded myself with paracetamol but still not bleeding as such. I didn't bleed at all Thursday, i was only passing big clots that wouldn't come out unless i pushed and i assume this is because there was no blood, no flow, and i didn't really had to change that one pad i was wearing, only changed it for hygienic reasons. By Friday the clots stopped and a bit of blood started coming out but by the end of the days was over, pain, cramps bleeding and clots..they just stopped.
I will have to take another test tomorrow as suggested last week by the nurse and i assume it will be a BFN but i am so confused about how the miscarriage only lasted 2 days effectively. I dont think i am still carrying a baby because all the tiny pregnancy symptoms have totally gone, breast doesn't hurt anymore and im not having night sweats no more. Maybe im just more tired than usual but i have two kittens keeping me awake from 5am onwards.
I wondered if anyone had a similar experience to share

Thank you all
xxxx

Can't really help with personal experience, but the bleeding imo should be something more than a normal period. But we are all different.

I'd do the test, see what it shows and monitor for any pain, swelling and fever. If no issues, I would not be too worried.

Sorry this happened to you, it is very common, way more than people know. It is quite difficult to come to terms with losing a pregnancy, even if so early on so if you can and have someone to talk to, I would do.
