Sure start maternity grant

Hi all,

Has anyone recently applied for the grant? I got a text this morning saying they'd received my application, anyone know roughly how long it takes to come through at the moment please

It was four years ago but I remember mine came through very swiftly. I think it was about 10 days from receiving the acceptance letter to the money being in my bank account.

Ah thanks for the reply! Should I receive another text saying it's been accepted or anything?

I applied recently, got my text on August 5th and money was in my account August 27th. I never got another text confirming but they did call me asking about bank details because I’d left it blank on the application so they wanted to double check if I wanted it in the same account as my my Universal Credit, so not sure if a phone call happens for everyone. I am also based in Northern Ireland so not sure if that would make a difference in time frames.
