Can anyone help me?
Looking for some advice as we were told at 15 weeks my baby was a girl and at 16 weeks that it could be a boy. My doctor is very laid back about it and said to wait till my 20 week scan before worrying about genetic blood tests.
The “potty shot” (sorry for the term) scan shows what appears to be the buttocks, bladder (which can’t be seen on females) and then descending down the femur, the genitals. My doctor urged me to bare in mind that it’s a huge misconception that only girls have 3 white lines and that when boys so, it’s all about placement and bladder.
The middle image is a side view of baby, facing outwards where the cord is highlighted green and what looks to be A boy part falling to the side is circled.
The other picture is a Classic view.
My placenta is laying over my cervix causing shadowing making the shots not great. Also baby was sitting both times with his knees pulled up and wouldn’t extend them making it difficult.
Has anyone else experienced being told the wrong gender?
Anyone had to get a blood test to confirm due to confusion?
Does this look like any of your sons/daughters ultrasounds?
Just looking to settle my mind a little.
Thanks for anyone who responds 💛
