Should I be worried?

36 + 2, STM here! Feel like a FTM in terms of labour due to induction with the first...

Have had severe lower backache for few days now, causes me to hobble when I move, doesn’t seem to be helped by changing position/taking it easier, combines with horrendous stomach cramps/BHs. Have also had a little leak which I think was really watery discharge - apologies for the TMI! (not my waters as was a one off, did the whole pad on and lie down for an hour etc). Today I’m also getting dragging feelings in my lower stomach and feel sick and exhaustion is next level.

I’m freaking out I’m going into early labour (only made it to 38 weeks with my first), and that my birth plan is blown out of the water if I go before 37 weeks.

Anyone had similar and can share outcomes/reassurance?

You could be getting ready, or you could be experiencing the joys of the end of the third trimester. Re BH, make sure you are well hydrated and rest -where possible. The leak could very well have been urine -if it's not amnio fluid there aren't many other options I'm afraid ☺️. Labour can start in a variety of ways. This labour could go faster since it is your second. But once the contractions start it's pretty unmistakable that it's a go 👍. Either that or your membranes fully break -that fluid is gushing and unstoppable and smells like semen (gross but true).
