My period is due anytime from today, I really really don't want it to come. My partner and I have been trying for a baby and I just feel asif I am pregnant this time but I am so scared that it's just me being silly and ill wake up and my period will be there 😭 I'm so scared of how that's going to make me feel. I'll be absolutely devastated. When is best to do a test? Do I do one tomorrow? Or do I wait and see if anything happens after a few days.. I really don't want it to I so want to be pregnant 🤞

Morning. You can test from the day of a missed period, so give it a go! Try the first response tests as they are quite sensitive.

I know it's scary, but you can't change the outcome now so try to relax and take it day by day 😊

Poppy10121 · 31/08/2020 08:00

Check on the box of the test you’ve bought - it will tell you when you can test from depending on the length of your cycle. I have short cycles so wouldn’t pick up a positive until a few days after missed period even with a sensitive test. Good luck!

Amyy44 · 31/08/2020 11:34

Thanks. I haven't dared today. I know its silly. But I'm going to do it tomorrow I think 🤞🍀

Fingers crossed for you @Amyy44 Good luck with testing x

Amyy44 · 31/08/2020 12:06

Thankyou ☺️ I'm not feeling so positive tbh my stomach is cramping a bit today 😔 this did happen yesterday morning for an hour or so though and didn't result in a period but we'll see 🤞x

Like @eternalflame2020 said, you can't change the outcome now for this cycle. And a test should be able to tell you one way or another at this stage. At least then you'll know.
Cramping can also be a sign of early pregnancy. I hope you get the result you want x

Amyy44 · 31/08/2020 12:22

Thanks so much everyone x

I took a test a week before my period was due & got a BFP! Smile Good luck!

Amyy44 · 01/09/2020 11:08

I still havent taken a test I was going to do it this morning but I just darent. I feel really sick today and I've had a few cramps over the last 2 days, I don't want to waste a test and come on my period at some point today so I'm waiting again, I'm going to get today out of the way, if no period I'm definitely doing one in the morning x

I just used a supermarket own brand one that wasn’t much more than a £1 if that helps!
MarshmallowsOnToast · 01/09/2020 12:04

I would just test. You should get a result today if you are pregnant.

I sympathise with feeling scared but I know what it's like. You will spend all of today over analysing every feeling and potentially getting your hopes up. I wouldn't be able to think about anything else.

In my opinion better to just find out now. If you are, fantastic! If not then you can put it to bed and move on to the next cycle.

midwifeync · 01/09/2020 14:48

Do a cheapy test! Doesn't have to be a clear blue expensive one. How long have you been ttc?

Amyy44 · 01/09/2020 17:36

I'm already stocked up on clear blue tests 😂 I just really can't do with the disappointment tbh
We've been trying for 9 months now. I was on the depo for almost 6 years after my daughter.
I have 3 children. I went on depo after my first then came off it to have my second and it took almost a year to conceive. Then fell pregnant with my youngest shortly after there is only 13months between them. Went back on depo as didn't think I'd ever be bothered about having more children, yet here we are. I had my last injection around Sept last year, we started properly trying in jan/Feb as I know it takes a while to come out of your system, but still nothing yet. X

Also my cramps have worn off a bit and still no bleeding as of yet x

OP posts:
Amyy44 · 01/09/2020 17:46

Obviously I know it's difficult after Depo but also with my first I was doing tests for almost 2 months before I got a positive one. Eventhough I knew I was pregnant I just wasn't getting a positive test, I don't want to deal with all that again. X

Hi @Amyy44 Good Luck 🤞🏼

I’m in a similar position, AF was due Sunday. Got all my usual PMs signs and cramps but so far no AF ... but too scared to test so I’m waiting.

Amyy44 · 01/09/2020 17:58

@Amelia891 thankyou and good luck to you 🤞 it's an awful situation, all you want to do is know but then at the same time you don't want to know 😩 I hope you get what you want x
