Hmm, nasty on and off pains. Paracetamol and a bath has eased it, but something feels like it's doing something!

38 wks and head is engaged, 2nd baby.

fingers crossed! Am having a nice healthy lunch and lots of fluids just in case!

Okay..... make sure to eat and drink regularly and to wee at least every 2 hours.

Now......... find a project to do (my fave... sort your photos). Or watch a comedy. Nothing like laughing for relaxing you and opening you up.

callmeovercautious · 05/10/2007 12:24

Sounds like there is going to be another mass pop this weekend

Lots of luck, make sure you rest while you can and have lots of fluids etc while you can still think about it.

PregnantGrrrl · 05/10/2007 12:26

once i've cleaned the rug (really, the midwives can't see the mess of this rug!) i shall pop a Bill Hicks DVD on and put my feet up.

wish DH had finished inflating birthing ball last night- it's currently quite limp looking in the bedroom.

Tell you what PGm, as an extra incentive I'll race you to birth!

The loser has to send the other person chocolate

PregnantGrrrl · 05/10/2007 12:30

hahahaha! i reckon you'll beat me to it...i think my baby's teasing me. At least you're 3cm!

PregnantGrrrl · 05/10/2007 13:28

well, have cleaned rug, fed dog, loaded and put on dishwasher, cleaned DS's pushchair, put out washing and had nice ice lolly. Not a peep. I reckon the bugger's not coming out after all

OP posts:
Chirpyghoul · 05/10/2007 13:37

Yeah well, apparently 3cm is normal for a 2nd birth before you even go into labour, so not that far ahead!

I can't be arsed to do anything today, am just lying on sofa sulking that'll help, not!

PregnantGrrrl · 05/10/2007 14:40

aw chirpy.

i have come to conclusion baby teasing me, so have stopped housework to listen to The Gossip and eat salt and vinegar potato twists instead.

had dreadful pain last night, only eased by sitting on birthing ball. lasted few hours, but didn't actually feel like contractions

managed to get some sleep finally, between teething DS waking up aswell.

not much action today...

Im 33weeks pregnant and I noticed that I felt quite wet, on checking my underwear it was wet with what seemed like water.. quite worried 'cos my 1st was early at 36weeks and around this time I had to go into hospital with a scare! Ive noticed a "plug-like" feeling down there, like im trying to pass a clot or something and nothings coming. my discharge has changed too. its now clearer and sometimes sticky. what should i expect? i spoke to my midwife who suggested i go into the day assessment unit to have a smear?

madamez · 09/10/2007 13:07

GO in to the unit. THey won't mind if it is a fals alarm and it will put your mind at rest. But if your soon-to-be DS/DD is on his/her way, 33 weeks is OK. Best of luck.

Oh, PG, how's yours? Arrived yet?

PregnantGrrrl · 09/10/2007 13:22

nothing, nowt, not a peep. really strange!

probably a good thing for now- my son is sleeping dreadfully with bad teething. don't know if i could handle it for now!
