Hiya, any advice on what sort of bags everyone uses for the hospital? I don't own a suitcase, gym bag etc, nothing like that so whatever I use I will have to buy so I'm wondering which is the best to use? Also, when did everyone have their hospital bag packed by? This is my first baby so I'm a bit clueless!!

For my first I think I took two bags, I bought a medium hold-all thing for me and a few baby bits like wipes and small pack of nappies and then had my changing bag for babies items. I think I had mine packed and ready to go by 36 weeks maybe a bit earlier but I also started carrying my notes everywhere I went from about 34 ish weeks, even if they were just in my car when I went out just incase anything happened and I had them to hand x

Get it packed as early as possible, by 32-36 weeks. Better than rushing around last minute when your waters are about to break. :)
A small suitcase is great because it's easily moved and is nice and firm. A strong holdall or rucksack will do but I find them a bit rummagey.

Thank you :)

I've bought a 'jumbo' pack of ALDI nappies and I was going to take some out of that for my bag.... But I might just go get a small pack, 24 I think it has in it for 79p and just pack those so that I definitely have enough aha. I may just do what you did, Use a hold-all and the changing bag that I have (It's quite a large changing bag too) so I reckon I'd be able to fit everything into them. Thanks :)

I was thinking latest of 36 weeks just incase but I thought I'd see what everyone else did for their babies before I sorted it out aha. I'm currently 30+4 so I don't have much time left until my little girl makes her appearance :D I'll definitely look into both hold-all and small suitcases and decide which is best for me. As another member mentioned she used a hold-all and changing bag, which I can do easily (Local high street shop has hold-alls). Thank you for your reply :)

I am 30+4 as well, OP, and I just finished packing my hospital bag. I used one of those small-ish rucksacks to fit both mine and babies stuff, and I have to say it's very full.. So on the day I envisage everything coming out to be able to get to the bit I want which invariably be at the bottom Confused. So I like the idea of hold-all and a changing bag if you are going to buy something specifically for this purpose.

Aww how lovely, due the same day! I've still got to wash everything yet so I can't pack just yet aha. I'm waiting on the sure start grant to carry on with the shopping and these last few weeks are going to be heaven for me with the shopping side of things, got to love a bit of a shopping spree haha! And yes no doubt the thing you want will be right at the bottom, but most stuff taken with you you'll probably need at one point or another anyway from the bag aha. I'm definitely going to get my bum in gear with the shopping, washing and preparing soon!
