My baby due October and want to get this seat. Some people have said their baby grows out it at just 6 months!! Surely with it staring up to 13kg I would get 12 months use out it. Looks comfortable and safe !!

They must have a bloody massive baby or not know there are 3 layers of padding and you can adjust the headrest bit up. We’re at 9 months and it’s still looking like it will last a fair while.

Hi Louise that’s great we are going go for it ! It’s comfortable for baby ?

Baby is 8m and looks no where near of growing out of it.

There is a newborn insert & then the head rest is adjustable in that you can move it up from the shoulders as the baby grows.

DD grew out of her maxi cosi pebble at 11m.

Dd was in hers until just over a year. It was a great seat and we will be using it for baby 2 due later on this year.

Hi op we have just bought this car seat for when baby arrives. Currently 22 weeks. I have to say I'm really impressed with it, it looks so comfortable and the material feels lovely.

Sophie2309 · 27/08/2020 16:19

I don't have that exact one, but I will be buying the Joie i-size 360 spin car seat which I think is a better option. I was looking into the car seat you mentioned at first, but me and my other half have decided to go with the ISOFIX Joie i-size 360 spin seat that goes up to 4 years. Personally, I think whoever said their baby grew out of the seat within 6 months clearly hasn't removed the appropriate padding to accommodate baby as they grow. Group 0 car seats do till a good 13-15KG, about a year old so I think you'll be fine :)

Yes OP it’s comfortable for baby, she likes a good sleep in it.

I'm currently looking at this carseat but I've seen lots of reviews about the headrest being too tight after a few months?
Thanks

My son (admittedly short) but average-large head didn't grow out of it until 14/15 months. My daughter is 9.5 months and we have 1 or 2 further positions on the headrest now. It is a great seat, but it is heavy to carry out of the car / use as a travel system so might be worth considering a Group 0/1 seat. We have the spin 360 too which my son is now in and tbh we probably could have had that from birth.

I really rate the Joie seats for safety & price.

I loved this seat for my little boy, I can’t remember exactly when he grew out of it but it wasn’t 6mths!
Soon to be used again for my baby when she arrives!

UncleBunclesHouse · 31/03/2021 21:05

Would highly recommend and don’t think that’s the case!

I had this seat, although my baby didn’t grow out of it size wise. I did find the car seat itself really heavy so as she got heavier, I found it clunky to lug around. It’s a brilliant car seat for a newborn but in the end I found it easier to get her in and out the car leaving the car seat in the car and ended up buying a 360 spin when she was about 9 months old which is brilliant🙂
