Losing weight after c section

Hi there

I'm posting in this thread as I think it'll have the traffic I need although I'm not pregnant and haven't had a baby recently...

3 weeks ago I had TAC (transabdominal cerclage) fitted on my cervix to prevent pre term labour as we have suffered loss before and are yet to bring a baby home. The TAC was fitted through the abdomen and the obstetrician did a C section incision.

Suffice to say, nothing could quite prepare me for the recovery and I've noticed that a combination of not getting much exercise and being quite constipated I've gained a couple of pounds. I'm just about getting used to walking around a bit more but I wonder if any other C section ladies could advise when they started to feel able to exercise again? At times I am feeling like I'm bouncing back but then I'll start having pain in the incision again.

There won't be a 6 week check up or anything but looking at the scar it's healing well...

Thanks in advance for any advice! Daffodil
