How normal is this?

I know in tri 1 exhaustion is normal. I was suffering from iron deficiency too and I did feel wiped out and tired and unwell even walking short distances. I’m now feeling exhausted again - is this normal or should I make an appointment with my GP?

Congratulations!

You may as well ask the GP, but I believe it's normal - you're growing a baby and rapidly gaining weight, and not everyone gets a burst of energy in the middle of their pregnancy.

I'm 27 and a bit weeks and have felt exhausted for almost 2 weeks now. I don't remember feeling like this with my son at this stage but that was 5 years ago and as he's my first I suspect life was a lot easier then! I'm getting my iron levels checked at my 28 week midwife appointment next week but I suspect it's normal for this stage. Hope it passes for you soon and we both suddenly find some energy!

I'm 23 weeks and exhausted too... I've had to start blocking out an hour after lunch for a nap or i just don't function in the afternoon. Taking iron in my vitamins so would be surprised if it is low iron.

I just assumed it was a growth spurt wiping me out as my belly is growing pretty quickly at the mo, but might mention to my midwife at my appt tomorrow.
