Can I see a willy?

Had my 12 weeks scan and the sonographer said she thinks Lil bubba is a boy. I sneakily took a pic of of the images captured from the scan. I'm sure I can see a willy. What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that you were cheeky to sneak a photo!

I’m pretty sure it isn’t to be honest as at 12 weeks the genitals haven’t actually developed but I would think if the sonography said she thinks it’s a boy, the chances are high that it probably is. Congratulations 💙

I can’t tell tbh

Why did you sneak photos? Weren’t you allowed to take them after?

Burnthurst187 · 25/08/2020 19:00

Probably because you have to pay

ShirleyPhallus · 25/08/2020 19:17

How odd, j didn’t have to pay for any of my scans, they took a load of photos then asked me which ones I wanted to take pictures of at the end

Diverseduvet · 25/08/2020 19:31

I can definitely see a willy and what looks like the start of 2 balls.

AgainstAllOdds1 · 25/08/2020 19:41

@ShirleyPhallus, not strange it's the norm to pay for scans.

Spam88 · 25/08/2020 20:29

The not taking any photos isn't because they want to charge you for them instead, it's because hospitals have a no photography rule in all clinical areas (and other areas in some hospitals) did the privacy of staff and patients.

I don't think they have visible genitals at 12 weeks do they? I'm sure if they did the private ultrasound companies would offer "gender" scans earlier.

TwinkleStars15 · 25/08/2020 20:39

No, because at 12 weeks it’s called a ‘nub’ and both boys and girls have a nub at that stage. Check out the nub theory for more information.

I was told that to spot the sex of a baby the technician would be looking for the ovaries. If present it's a girl, if none present it's a boy . Very often lay people mistake the cord for the willy 😂
