I got these peppermint sugar free gums and I've been chewing them a lot as they help with my nausea sometimes and I've realised it's been making me go toilet a lot more and on the back it saying if too much is consumed it will act as a laxative I got a bit worried will my baby be okay I do not swollen them at all and I'm about to throw them away I'm 20 weeks x

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Its because they are sugar free - the polyols (sugar alternative) can have a laxative effect. It will not affect your baby.

The gum won't hurt baby OP.
I wouldn't throw it away if I were you, you'll appreciate the side effects in weeks to come. A big handful of Tesco value midget gems work too, both are nicer than the alternatives!

Read the packaging, there's usually a warning. No harm will be done to your baby
