Hi aim 14wks 3 days and going a little stir crazy right now, i had a scan at 13 wks all was fine, I was feeling cramps a wk ago like round ligament pain and tugging feeling behind belly button so i thought ok well as much as there is a bit of discomfort bump must be growing or something, fast forward a week, bump has gone down may have just been bloat, no cramps, no sickness, no nasuea, I have enough energy I could run a marathon, all my symptoms I had from 8 to 12 wks have gone, I wont buy a doppler this is my first pregnancy so probs wont feel any movement till much later, and also I cant feel my uturus like people say online above pubic bone etc, I am just worrying in general I am a very negative person and assume the worst, I had a MC at 6 wks a year ago so hence why I am over thinking, Am I being a little to paranoid here? Any advice would be great x

Hi, at around the same point my symptoms (24 hr nausea mainly!) literally disappeared without a trace. It was so strange but 22.5 weeks now and baby is wiggling away just nowSmile all the best

Hi Op,

I feel for you, it’s a really anxious time, I was the same always worrying. Its very common for symptoms to settle down around 13 weeks, mine certainly did, the morning sickness and tiredness just vanished and I started to feel good again! That’s why people say 2nd trimester is the good bit!! Statistically if everything was fine at your 13 week scan you have a very good chance of everything being ok. I found that as soon as I could feel kicks I felt so much more reassured, not much longer until you feel them. Also bump
Changing size is very normal, a lot of it at this stage will be bloat, I used to wake up in the morning with no bloat then by the evening looked really pregnant! x

@Hayleydobedoo
Omg same here!!! I feel so down (w15) as 10-13 weeks I felt like I was growing by the day, symptoms - really felt pregnant.
I now feel like my symptoms have gone and if anything my belly feels less hard.

Thank you @Amelia891 I have read stats etc but still cant stop thinking what if! I cant wait to feel something so I can feel more assured all is ok just such a long wait! I agree, morning there is a little poodge so to speak then evening time I look like I am carrying twins!! Grin

Hello @33muma me too! I felt like at 12 to 13 weeks I had a bit of shape and felt a little more solid now it just feels normal, my friend said to me it could have all just been bloat and now body is adjusting its gone down so just waiting game to see actual baby bump itself, I just want to enjoy this journey but always feeling so negative :(

@Hayleydobedoo can you afford a private scan - as that might be a good way to calm you whilst you wait for the nhs one at w20. I'm thinking of doing one next week at 16 as the one near me is about £50, but it might pacify me for a bit!

In a few weeks we'll wish we hadn't complained when we get different symptoms and rounder!

Hayleydobedoo · 24/08/2020 22:38

@33muma I was just looking online to see if they have a space and they do for 12th sept so i am going to go for that, thought I could wait for 20 wk scan but the anxiety is just going to eat me up, yes definatley we will haha!
Would love to know how you get on at the private one Smile

I’ve also had the same fears! Not sure if it’s the same where you are but the midwife let me hear baby’s heartbeat at my 16 week appointment so it was a nice reassurance between the 12 and 20 week scan xx
