Birthing partners

I know it's so hard to tell but do you think by Feb we will be allowed 2 birthing partners.
I know most places are one now with covid rules. I will be really gutted as I have 2 asked who are really excited to be apart of the labour and birth

There's no way of knowing for sure, some hospitals allow it now and some are still strict on you having to be 4cm for anyone to be there at all.

To be honest back in March I was fully expecting things to be 'business as usual' for my September due date - everyone was saying 'oh it'll be fine by then'. But things actually haven't moved on as much as I'd assumed back then.

No I doubt it personally x

It depends what happens over the winter, nobody can really guess yet. You could have a home birth, or stay at home as long as possible, with more partners.

Aw I'd love to have a home birth but unfortunately the women in my family are very prone to hemorrhaging in labour which makes me worry.

I guess we can only wait and see what happens and keep fingers crossed

I don’t think things will be back to normal for a very long time.

Back when I found out I was pregnant in march at the start of lockdown I hoped before every scan and appointment that things will change and my partner will be allowed to attend with me, nothing changed. I'm due in November and I have no hope for my partner to be able to attend any of my remaining appointments, all my scans are done now on my own 😔 but I'm relieved he will be able to attend the birth. It would be nice to have a seccond birth partner but the only other people I would choose is my mum or sister which would just cause more stress as they do not get along with my partner. My advice would be to prepare yourself for 1 birth partner as things are very strict at hospitals and I can't see it changing until there is a vaccine!
