Hi, im only 6+3 weeks and I look like I could be 4 months 😩 I know its probably just being bloated but can it really be this early ?
Having to try and hide my belly from extended family as really don't want to tell people any time soon. My mum and sister seem to think I could be further along than what I am, I dont think I am but its now playing on my mind.
Anyone else have a large bloated belly this early on ? Xxx

I had the bloat both times I've been pregnant - got offered seats on the tube from 8+ weeks it was that obvious. In my first pregnancy it went at about 12 weeks and then I had a proper bump from about 15 weeks.

FluffyKittensinabasket · 24/08/2020 14:20

I have “the bloat” too!

Hopefulmum2020 · 24/08/2020 14:28

Glad I'm not the only one ! Its soooo annoying when you don't want people to know yet 🤦‍♀️ also my clothes are too tight, im living in leggings at the moment. Luckily I'm working from home still so don't have to worry about getting new work clothes, so expect it to go down then yeh? Xxx

I’m pregnant with my 3rd and have looked about 6 months pregnant since 6 weeks due to the bloat 😂

LottieDot · 24/08/2020 20:35

I'm 9 weeks today (confirmed dates by scan) and I'm the same! Its my first so I didn't expect to show so early, plus we haven't told anyone yet so im having to try and hide it! Im a size 8-10 normally and have read that sometimes being slimmer makes it more noticeable. I cant wait to buy some maternity clothes Grin

UrsulaSings · 24/08/2020 20:50

I was buying maternity clothes very early on as I was soo bloated.

Hopefulmum2020 · 24/08/2020 21:14

Thanks !!

@LottieDot its my first too, i'm the same size 8-10 I've had to go and buy some bigger leggings and some floaty tops to try and hide it 🤦‍♀️ I had a day out with my cousins and my uncle at the weekend and had to try breathing in as much as I could 🙈 hoping they never noticed 😂 im half tempted to go shopping this weekend for maternity stuff just so I feel comfortable, hopefully will go down and I can wear my normal clothes again before my bump shows xx

I’ve had awful bloat since before I even found out. That was one of the symptoms that made me test because it was painful bloat but just massive. I suffer with my digestive system so I bloat all the time but it’s different and painful and usually goes down over night or after a warm bath but not this. I’m 7wks tomorrow and still bloated!
It’s so hard to hide it especially when we haven’t told anyone yet x

flissity · 25/08/2020 08:13

Had this until about 12 weeks Ish (with my recent third baby)
Then it went away and I didn’t look pregnant again 😆 then the proper bump started growing

Hopefulmum2020 · 25/08/2020 09:13

@Chicken123 ill be 7 weeks on Friday, its so difficult to hide, most of my clothes are fitted so it stands out so much 🙈 thinking about it I was bloated before I tested but just assumed it was just me being bloated, wasn't until my nails started to go rapidly that I guessed something was up 😂

@flissity soooo it should go down then yeh ? Just need to hide it for a bit longer?

@Hopefulmum2020 I found it really hard to know what to wear when we had the hot weather because I couldn’t wear anything right because people would guess. I’m thankful for this crappy weather because I can just wear my baggy tops and jumpers. I’ve even been wearing my fiancé’s tops😂 and LIVING in my leggings😂 I already need to buy new bras!! Can’t wait for it to go down but by then we will probably have an actual bump😂
The bloat has been making me feel sooooo insecure though. Being intimate is so difficult at the moment x

Hopefulmum2020 · 25/08/2020 09:25

@Chicken123 I completely agree ! I have already brought new bras, even new leggings a couple sizes up just to keep comfortable. Luckily for me I'm not having to go out anywhere yet, working from home still so don't have to worry too much, when I start going back ill have to wear baggy dresses or something 🤦‍♀️ I don't know how long I'll be able to keep it a secret, people will guess when my wardrobe changes from fitted to baggy 🤦‍♀️ maybe ill blame it on the lockdown weight gain for a little while ? 😂 maybe we will just got from bloat bump to baby bump with no gap in between 😂😂
Its been a while since I was intimated with my OH due to feeling either tired or sooo not sexy 😔 he's been great and understands as he has kids from previous marriage but still makes me feel bad x

I had an obvious bump at 7 weeks and was in maternity clothes by 8 weeks....I'm having twins......

Hopefulmum2020 · 25/08/2020 10:42

@ivfdreaming I dont think its a baby bump 🤔, when did you find out you were having twins ? X

ivfdreaming · 25/08/2020 11:45

@Hopefulmum2020

I found out at 6 weeks x

Hopefulmum2020 · 25/08/2020 11:52

@ivfdreaming was that from an early scan then ? X

If it makes you feel better, I bloated straight away and had a bump. Baby has now filled in the bloat not added to it iyswim. My bump is normal sized for where I am now

Hopefulmum2020 · 25/08/2020 12:37

@chubbyhotchoc thank you, its just a case of trying to hide it that will cause a problem 😔 i don't want to be forced in to telling people before we are ready x
