I just thought I'd start this for anyone who, like me, is struggling with the last couple of months of pregnancy!
I'm totally grateful to be having our second child (we struggled to conceive first time round), but God am I done in...
DD2 is in the midst of tantrumville, I can't get comfortable at night, 24/7 heartburn, current chest cold means I'm straining coughing constantly, I've got the patience of a goldfish, DH working long days, and I just needed a place to moan!
Anyone else need to vent? I'm here if you do Flowers x

35 weeks and I posted the other day saying I'd had enough! I'm a FTM to be so no tantrum toddler to deal with so bravo!
I waddle when I walk, my feet are so swollen I can only wear flip flops, I have carpal tunnel in both hands, heartburn even after drinking water, I can't get comfortable wherever I am, I can't sleep and I've put in 45lb!!! 😫😫😫
Don't get me wrong I'm grateful to be pregnant and I'm truly blessed and so far so good with my pregnancy, but my god I'm so done! I never expected that just getting off the sofa would feel like I've just done a session in the gym!
I'm with you OP!

I’m with you - also have a toddler, can’t sleep at night and feel just so run down. And still 8 weeks of this left!

I’m looking forward to finishing work in a few weeks but realistically am I going to be able to do anything? I just want to lie on the sofa

I've purposely not weighed myself this time round but I'm much bigger than I was with my first pregnancy, and boy do I feel it! Stretch marks have appeared on my hips this last week which are only going to get worse. I also feel the same if I have to stand up at all (even to go to the loo) it pisses me off as if someone has just slapped me in the face with a cold fish, ha!

HanPanPeg

I'd love to just have a week to myself, no DD, no DH, just me and my bed. I feel so guilty but I really would.
DH is good when he's off work and sorts the house, DD out so I can't really complain, but I've found that Sundays the anxiety kicks in because he works long hours mon-thurs and it's all on me again!

Hello! I'm 31 weeks. Haven't had a decent night sleep for as long as I can remember and also have a toddler who gets up at the crack of dawn. I have pgp which has taken me by surprise as I didn't have this with my first, it also limits my mobility massively and I just feel a bit bleegh as I love going for long walks normally. I know we are all so fortunate but I'm also totally with you all! Xx

022828MAN · 23/08/2020 18:34

Welcome Sunshine1606 !

Oh no, luckily I haven't experienced PGP myself but have a friend who suffered terribly with it so my heart goes out to you! I also love to go for walks but if I do now I'm just floored for the rest of the day so I have to decide between getting fresh air, or conserving my energy for the rest of the day... Sad

@022828MAN no stretch marks for me yet but I suffered with them during puberty so I have no doubt I'll get them, whether it's before or after birth! I'm just slapping on the lotion as much as I can to try and avoid as many as possible!
We have a dog and it's nice to go for a stroll and get the blood flowing, but I can't go anywhere for more than half an hour without needing to pee! 😂
I've taken to wearing liners as well as baby's head is on my bladder so whenever he moves I pee a little! Absolute nightmare! Another thing to moan about 🤪🤪🤪

I'll let you in on a little secret, hopefully it'll lift our spirits!
Last week I went for a good stroll to get my blood flowing, only it worked a little too well! I found myself gasping for a poo in the middle of a field a good 20 mins walk from home.
I thought I could hold on but sadly had to resort to popping a squat amongst some bushes. I ended up with nettle stings and bramble scratches all over my backside and legs...
Although the remainder of my walk was somewhat more enjoyable, ha!

Who said it'd be glamorous eh!

Hahaha- a lovely trip out the house! I have the annoying thing where I feel absolutely desperate to use to the loo as soon as I leave the house and when I do it’s a mere trickle. For some reason I find this SO annoying.

I’m forcing myself to go to bed early tonight as I always end up watching crap whilst scrolling on my phone - which is pointless in itself especially when I could use the extra hours to try to get some sleep in. Going to take paracetamol tonight to see if it helps with the hip pain a bit.

BumbleNova · 23/08/2020 19:14

My people! I'm 31 weeks and I have a complete whirlwind DS who is 21 months and not into sleeping. I'm so bloody knackered it's unreal. I have no idea how I'm going to get through another 9 weeks. I'm already struggling to get my sodding shoes on. Bloody hate being pregnant!

lockdownpregnancy · 23/08/2020 20:13

Oh my days @022828MAN 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I just read your post to my DH and he's laughing his head!
Nothing glamorous about pregnancy! I don't how amazing they make it look in the magazines and tv shows! The third trimester is a total slog! Lol! 🤪

herewegoagain25 · 23/08/2020 20:16

Oh I'm in exactly the same position!

Coming up to 32 weeks and pretty fed up now. I have a toddler who just turned two. I also really struggled to conceive my first and got pregnant super quickly with my second. I thought that DS would have calmed down a bit by the time we had the second, but it seems unlikely now!

I've been exhausted, but my DH is starting to let me rest a bit more now!

022828MAN · 23/08/2020 20:20

Haha I'm glad I could put a smile on your face, my DH was in stitches when I got home and told him that day too!

Welcome Bumble and herewego! As rubbish as it is for us all, it's definitely reassuring to hear everyone else feeling equally as fed up with it.

I hear yous ladies I'm currently 31 weeks and 4 days with DC 2 and I'm struggling lol. Everything seems like such an effort I jus want to lye on the sofa lol and I'm a moaning big mare at the minute such a bundle of fun to be around 🤣 xx

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 23/08/2020 21:15

30 weeks, 4.5yr old about to start primary school and I feel awful. I'm big, waddly, hot and fed up that my body won't let me do what I want to do. I'm suffering with back ache and sore legs and nearly all of my shoes are too tight. Pregnancy is hard Confused

HanPanPeg · 23/08/2020 21:52

So envious of the people with the small neat bumps. I’m a giant waddling mess.

@monkey can you make do with sandals? I’m planning on wearing my Birkenstocks well into September!

herewegoagain25 · 23/08/2020 21:57

I'm really hoping that we don't have a very rainy September/October. I fear for my feet of the sandals have to go away!

lockdownpregnancy · 23/08/2020 22:02

@herewegoagain25 I'm with you on that one! I'm literally in sandals everyday! I have a pair of trainers I tried to wear today and I couldn't get them on! Just want the swelling to bugger off so I can put some other shoes on! 😂

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 23/08/2020 22:12

I spend most days in sliders to match my also attractive leggings and t-shirt look. Grin

Shouldn't really complain but it's much harder 2nd time around!

niki26 · 24/08/2020 03:28

I'm 37 weeks - I haven't really been to sleep yet because of my husbands bloody snoring. He's been been away for a few nights and I was relieved to have him home. Now I wish he wasn't here!!!! And now I have heartburn also. I've resorted to watching 'Eat, Pray, Love' on Netflix.

Oh and my 4 1/2 year old is awake also as I stupidly let her nap earlier this evening.

022828MAN · 24/08/2020 04:50

Another one here living in sandals / sliders. I never realised how comfortable they were before!

niki26

I'm awake now too... DD has been having what I can only imagine are some sort of nightmares these past 2 weeks so I'm woken every night around this time. By the time she falls asleep again I'm wide awake with back pain and heartburn too!

I'm determined to treat myself to a pregnancy massage this week, hoping it'll help!
