Induced miscarriage.. Pain.. Help

Hello,
Not sure of where to put this but I'd appreciate some advice please

I went for a pregnancy scan on Wednesday and the ultrasound found nothing, no sac no hint of a pregnancy. A thin endometriosis??
Went back for a second opinion and was told I would need tablets to induce a miscarriage.

Devastated but took them on Friday. Bleeding has been heavy, on and off but I've woke up this morning in some amount of pain. It started in my hip, and was like the feeling of a full bladder not being emptied. The dull, cramping sort
Now it's spread to my belly and my lower back. It's excruciating, burning, sharp pains. I've tried a bath, I've tried hot water bottle, I tried cold water bottle.
Inbuprofen, cocodomal, paracetamol not helping. I've tried going for a walk, sitting still, hunching up.

Could this be ectopic pain? Seeing as they weren't able to locate the pregnancy? I'm an hour away from hospital, no transport so I'd have to walk so I kinda want to manage this at home, ASAP!

Thank you

I would call 111 for advice. If there is any risk of an ectopic rupturing, you don't want to delay.

I'm sorry to hear your going through this OPDaffodil

If you are in that much pain I would ring 111, especially if pain medication isn't helping. Your symptoms sound crazily similar to mine when I had a kidney infection after my DS was born - I would keep an eye on the pain and if there is any when you pee.

If they have given you a number to contact when they have you the pills, I would contact them ASAP!

Hope you feel well soon hunni x

I hope you get help with the pain Sad

@stitchandangel you will still get a positive pregnancy test after a miscarriage. Epu usually recommend testing 3 weeks after the mc to confirm all hgc is out of your body xx

Agree you need medical advice.
All sounds a bit odd - they really shouldn’t be giving you those tablets to take without checking how far away from hospital you live and whether you have transport! Even if all is going well and it’s not an ectopic for example, some women need hospital attention after the tabs... sorry you’re going through this. If severe or any fainting or any shoulder tip pain would call an ambulance.

Lollol86 · 23/08/2020 21:08

@stitchandangel how are you doing? Xx

Yes your meant to leave it 3 wks before doing the test, and It often does hurt but if that bad call for advice. It may not work at all and you may need a surgica mc. Hopefully the pain will pass and it is because the tablets have worked.
