Early scan

Just wanted to post a pic of my early scan for you all to see. I thought I was 8+2 but have been put back as 7+6 so only a few days out. Saw a very strong heartbeat and even got a video so was absolutely lovely!!

Lovely op! I had one yesterday too and it was lovely to see the little blob with a heartbeat.

I'll share mine! Was 7w6 from lmp but put back 7w2

His gestational sac looks massive compared to yours 😅

we also had a nice strong regular heartbeat that we could see and hear 💓

@SunnySideUp2020 is that the yolk sac at the bottom there? It's amazing isn't it! How something so little can have such a strong beating heart!

Did you have these done privately?

@Imylil33 oh ok, when is best to get an early scan? I'm 5+3 and I think it would reduce my anxiety if I had an early scan

I would say after 7 weeks which is normally when a heartbeat can be seen. I had this scan for reassurance as I've suffered miscarriages before and I do feel so much better today after seeing baby. I booked it about 2 weeks ago so wasnt too long for me to wait for it

We had a scan at 6+2 and had a heartbeat, also confirmed just one in there. They wouldn't let you go for a scan until 6 weeks and you had to be 2 weeks past a missed period. It also had to be an internal scan, they wouldn't be able to see it if it wasn't. The heart beat can start at some point between 6 and 8 weeks so if you do have an early scan don't be disappointed if there isn't one. That was window to the womb at chester-le-street (or newcastle south as they inexplicably call it).

It is truly amazing. Literally the size of a bean and still has a mini heart beating so strong 😭

Mine was done privately.
Also suffered mc in december so needed extra reassurance.
But as it was said before would not get a scan before you are at least 7 weeks...
It just causes more anxiety 😔

We had one on Saturday at 8 weeks and 5 days, could just about make out the little arms starting to show and he/she was moving around a lot.
I don’t think we will have any more private scans done now as it’s not long until the 12weeks but for £60 it was well worth it.

Aw we must all be due around the same time as I was 8+4 Saturday.

Mine wasn't moving at all 🙄 but i guess it was too small...
Can't wait to see it wriggling !

Congrats :) I had one when I was 8+6 too and honestly it was actually more emotional than my 12 week one! OH was able to join so we both saw baby for the first time together and saw the little heartbeat. Amazing moment.
