Massaging belly with jade roller?

I read somewhere that massaging oil into skin helps with skin elasticity, to prevent stretch marks.

Has anyone tried it? Does it sound like a good idea?

Stretch marks are mostly genetic, however I am doing the stuff just in case it works! I am using Secret Saviours band and creams, plus dry brush including on the belly. Haven't tried jade roller.. it wouldn't do any harm to give it a go.

Many factors play into getting stretch marks or not. Genetics, how much and how quickly you put weight on, how young you are and so on.
Here is a clinical paper on the topic www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5440454/ The paper recommends a cream with centella asiatica.

I did daily massage for all my 5 pregnancies (3 children, 2 miscarriages at 22 weeks and 16 weeks) and don't have a single one but I also never put on much weight.
I think how much you put on matters.

I think hand is better than any type of roll. Long strokes, circular, the hips, the flanks , and legs as well for blood circulation and lymphatic system. I would do a long massage, not just putting on cream.

I used good quality almond oil and always had a diet very high in vegetables. I also have a flat and toned stomach, no loose skin and I am in my 50s.

So yes to massage with the best diet but forget about the roller

I moisturised my bump with coconut oil and bio-oil, mostly because it itches a lot as the skin stretched. I don’t have post-pregnancy stretch marks (but I was a bit overweight before pregnancy...) - no idea whether the oiling and massage helped but it worked to sooth the itch. And it was relaxing.
