Should I call?

I’m probably being paranoid but thought I would ask the hive mind.

I’m 24 weeks and have an anterior placenta. I feel the baby move every day. Today I’m not sure I’ve felt them move as much. They don’t really have a pattern yet, but they tend to be most active in the evenings. So I wouldn’t necessarily have felt them a lot yet today. But I’m not sure I’ve felt as much as normal.

I’m extra paranoid because after my husband and I had sex a couple of days ago, I had a tiny amount of dried brown blood in my discharge. It really was tiny, but it’s the first bleeding of any kind I’ve had. Today I thought there might have been a little more brown blood on the loo paper when I wiped after a pee, but I really couldn’t tell if I was just imagining it.

I’ve had a cold drink, a snack, and done some jumping jacks but it hasn’t got them wriggling.

Should I be calling the hospital, or am I overthinking? Because of my anterior placenta it took me longer than normal to feel them at all, so I don’t know how much of a factor that is.

You should always call and don't worry about troubling anyone. It's what they're there for.

After 24 weeks I'd definitely call to be safe

Call - the midwives would always rather check you and have it be nothing to worry about than the other way round. I’ve been in a couple of times and they’ve always been lovely, even though both times baby started moving as soon as I got there so felt like a fraud!

Thanks so much all - you’re right, I shouldn’t be worried about bothering them! I will call to be sure.

@ClaraJude it's always best to ring and get the little checked, I hope they are all ok and just having a rest day x
