Covid 19 test

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and sent off my Covid 19 test on Weds. it was received by the lab at 7am yesterday.
Has any one taken the test, and if so how long did you wait for your results? Did you get them on a weekend or weekday?
In the event it is positive, did you contact your midwife? x

Hi, it's a literally 24 hour service. The last time I did a test was on a Thursday afternoon and got my results at 6am on sat morning. Always been negative but if I did get a positive I would contact my midwife

Thanks for your reply @welshladywhois40
Mine is over 24hr. It does say up to 72hrs 😬
Do you know if they send out results over the weekend? x

Sorry what I meant is I think they work 24 hrs a day as I have had results come back at strange times and at the weekend

I had mine done Friday at 11am, got the results that evening. In Scotland. Also pregnant, 36 weeks. Was negative.

I had it done at the drive through though which probably speeds things up a bit.

That is reassuring.
Really hoping we hear back tomorrow, so we can venture out of the house again 😬
Thank you for your responses xx

We had them done on a Friday a month ago, DH results came back next day and then mine came back on the Sunday at 6am. All negative and I'm in Scotland too. Hope your tests come back ok OP 💐💐
