Hi ladies.
I've been getting really bad period pains all morning and they are only getting worse! I'm going to take some paracetamol to ease it off but I've also been getting sharp stabbing pains in my back and near my public bone for the last few days.
Currently 34+5 weeks and wanted to know if anyone else gets these?
Baby is moving fine so not concerned there just wondering these feelings are normal during this stage of pregnancy?

Maybe baby's head engaging. speak to your midwife to put your mind at rest if you are worried

I think it might be worth giving your hospital a call and see what they say. It could be braxton hicks but might be early labour. Best to get checked out. Good luck!

Speak to a midwife asap.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks or genuine contractions!

Thanks ladies. The paracetamol has eased the pain slightly so I'll see how I go. If it persists I'll call the midwife. Thank you 🥰

It could be early labour or I used to get this really bad when I was constipated too near the end of my pregnancies xx

If it doesn't go away soon I'd be calling in for checks. Better to be safe; midwives will always be happy to see you

Bleepers · 21/08/2020 14:42

Definitely call the midwife ASAP as it could be pre term labour

Hi ladies. Just to say the period pains have subsided thanks to the wonderful world of painkillers 👍🏻 back pain and stabbing pains still come and go but it's not regular and not been all day, just every now and then. Think they might be Braxton Hicks and baby getting into position!
Not going to call the MAU just yet. If it carries on over the weekend I might speak with the midwife on Monday but I'm hoping I'll be ok 🤞
