Hi

I’ve just got AF on my 12th cycle TTC no1 I feel so low, I do everything right. I get spotting before my period so I’m thinking this may be the issue I have been referred but Covid has delayed things I would have usually have been seen mid sept but she’s not sure when it will be now. For those that took longer than 12 months did you do anything different on the month you got your bfp? I’m not sure if to look into getting checked privately or just waiting another couple of months. 21day bloods were fine, OH is having a SA next week. I guess I’m just looking for a little hope. I’ll be 34 soon so time is ticking.

It took me 14 months to conceive number 1, currently 18 weeks pregnant. Still have to pinch myself sometimes. The month I conceived I stopped tracking & majorly tried to chill out by doing lots of de-stressing fertility yoga on YouTube by a woman called Bettina Rae. Who knows if that was what did it but I definitely felt a lot better & positive in myself that month. And finally saw 2 pink lines a few weeks later.

We took exactly a year to conceive our first.

Our second took six months, however I fell pregnant on our first cycle of trying Preseed. Could be complete co-incidence but it’s an easy thing to try which might help? I think there’s little scientific evidence for it but plenty of anecdotal positive stories online.

@Timetotry123

“I thought asprin was bad” that should read.

I lost 5 before my daughter. I'd actually booked in for a fertility appointment but found out I was pregnant the day before. I'd put myself in aspirin based on my own research and the doctor confirmed that if I hadn't been pregnant he would have prescribed it. Some people also take it through pregnancy if they're at risk of loss. I think it's to do with clotting. It's worth looking into and discussing with your doctor. Once I was pregnant I stopped taking it though.

Hi all 😊I know this thread hasn’t been commented on since august but just wondered if anyone has got a BFP in the meantime? And how long it took? Currently coming up to a year ttc xxx

@sunshineandshowers3 yes, I have since got my bfp. The first one went on to be my third loss, but I am currently 18 weeks and so far so good. Crossing absolutely everything!

Interestingly on both times we conceived we actually used pre-seed and I put my legs in the air! We have only used pre-seed and don't the legs in the air thing twice, but both times we conceived! I joked and said the legs thing was the only thing we hadn't tried so I gave it a go 😂 may have had nothing to do with it, but I'll be trying it again in future!!! Started TTC in December 2018

@Daffodil21 Thank you for the response 😊. Really sorry to hear of your losses but congratulations on being 18 weeks ❤️🥰.

We have done the legs in the air and pre-seed to no success so far 😔. Did you do anything else differently? And how old are you and your partner if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 28 and my DP is 30. We’ve been trying since May last year. I’ve had my 21 day bloods and all fine but my DP is still waiting to be sent for his SA xxx

It took us 3 years to conceive our first child. The month before we got pregnant I had a lap and dye op where they said they found nothing wrong.
The next month, with no charting or even thinking about the possibility of getting pregnant just confusion as to what we could do about having ‘unexplained infertility’, we were pregnant. We now have 3 children.
I muse whether the dye ‘flushed’ away an minor obstructions that were there. I also wonder if totally forgetting about trying to have a baby that month helped too. At the time we were under enormous pressure and perhaps the stress of trying to conceive was just too much.

Oh wow I commented on this one back in the day.

I didn't include my full story at the time, but long story short, the BFP after 2 years unfortunately ended in early miscarriage. 11 months later (and one dose of Clomid) I got my second BFP.

At the time of my post, that BFP was a couple of weeks away from her first birthday. She's 18 months now, and we're 1 month into TTC number 2.

@sunshineandshowers3 not at all, I'm 30 (29 when I conceived) and my husband is 30 in a couple of weeks. We actually had less sex! Normally we dtd every other day after AF (my cycles are long as well!) but that month I just Cba anymore! I think i left it 4 days between during my FW, and only dtd on the clear blue static smiley day. I've had all the bloods too and they were clear. Wishing you the best of luck!

@Daffodil21 Ah a similar age to us then 😊. Thank you so much ❤️ Last day of AF today so just getting ready to start our next month of trying. Trying to keep as positive as possible but can’t help feeling something must be wrong 🤷‍♀️. Xx
