Trying to conceive over 40?

Hi everyone, I’m 43 years old and trying for baby number 3. I have a 4 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. Both were conceived quickly, within a couple of months of trying. I did have an early miscarriage right before each successful pregnancy. We’ve been trying for a few months now and I’m wondering if it’s just not possible anymore. Any success stories?

I followed the advice in 2ed It Starts with the Egg 3 months prior to trying and fell first try! Over 40.

I did get my thyroid levels sorted first too, my TSH was so 4 and it needs to be 2.5 or under to successfully concieve. My went over after my second pregnancy in my late 30s so was important to sort before trying.

Good luck! I find each pregnancy easier in terms of energy levels etc.

I’ll check out 2ed it starts, thanks! I’ve been on medication for hypothyroid since 2013 and have had to adjust dosages during and after pregnancies. I always wonder if TSH levels were the cause of my miscarriages. Of course, at my age it could be any number of reasons:(
