Breastfeeding

DS is 18 months and I just put him to bed without feeding him for the first time. I’m 6 weeks pregnant and struggling with breastfeeding all of a sudden.

He was absolutely fine with it but I’m a hormonal wreck!

Is this normal? Will I get passed it or should I wean? I only feed twice a day, before nap and bedtime.

Hi there, can’t help you with your post but thought I’d give it a bump as someone else may be able to help. Congratulations on your pregnancy btw

I was exactly the same as you OP. We were winding down BF at 15 months anyway, with just a feed during the night, but when I found out I was pregnant it seemed like a good time to stop.

DS couldn’t have been less bothered and actually immediately started sleeping through the night.

I was sad it was over too but I knew I’ll be doing it all over again soon enough, so that’s always something to look forward to!

Thanks both. He wasn’t bothered at all last night! It was me that had the issue.
