Maternity Waterproof

Hi guys,

Having gotten soaked today I'm on the hunt for a decent waterproof that will fit both me and my bump! I normally go for relatively decent waterproofs but can't find anything for less than £160!!! (Mamalia, looks amazing but I am absolutely not paying that much!).

I am happy to go low spec as it's only for a few months anyway, but literally can't find anything that claims to be waterproof! Can't use umbrellas as I live in a windy place and cycle.

Anyone had more success? 🤞⛈☔💧

Just but regular clothes in a bigger size than you normally are.

Yeah I'm getting to the point of doing that, though I would prefer something specifically maternity because I want to guarantee that it will fit throughout and still be able to do up to keep my belly dry and it would be nice to have something that looks nice, I live in my waterproof over winter!

I am pregnant, but my waterproof still just about fits. If it didn't i was planning to get a poncho. I used them a lot when travelling as they can go over your bag as well. I would totally go for that - any size bump friendly!

Ooh I didn't think of ponchos! @bumbers how do they do in the wind? I have visions of it blowing up around my face but maybe not!

Live on seafront, wind is no joke here! 😅

Hmm, trying to remember. Probably not wonderful compare to a fitted jacket, but I don't remember them being bad, if that makes sense.

Ok, looks like there are some nice ones out there so if I can't find a fitted one they could be a good option to test out. Thanks for the idea!

@WitsEnding that mamalila one is exactly the one I found initially and really want but too pricey!! Been trying to track it down second hand but no luck 😔

Insert looks very interesting though! Thank you! I'll do some research!

Sorry - I realised after I posted!

I brought an oversized style one from ASOS' regular range. Easily fit my huge bump in and then could do it up over baby in the sling.
