Sore boobs

As I man I have no idea about this and to google it brings up a range of answers so I am looking for 'real' experiences please. My wife every month has terribly sore breasts 10 days or so before AF. This month there is no pain at all and she is due her AF in three days time. Has anyone else experienced this and if so did they end up being pregnant, we have been trying to 2 and a bit years now, thanks for your help

I think women can look too much into period symptoms v pregnancy symptoms, as 9/10 times they're quiet similar around the period date.
Sore boobs relating to pregnancy got worse at w5, so before then it could have been mistaken for period symptoms.
I think as I wanted to be pregnant, I seeked any feeling to be that, but in reality it is the pregnancy test that confirms it before the true big symptoms kick in.

Boob related, the first big preg symptom was w5/6 when the nipples suddenly swell/get bigger.
