Am I miscarrying or not?

I found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago and should be over 6 weeks pregnant. I had an early scan because of some spotting and was told they couldn't see anything and was referred to epu, where I had another scan two days later followed by a blood test as the scan didn't show anything again. I was told that my HCG level was 2083 and that this indicated that the pregnancy had failed and that I would need a repeat blood test in a week to make sure the levels are falling. I should have been 6+5 weeks yesterday when I had the blood test done but when I've looked online it says that it's normal for HCG to be between 1080 - 56,500 at 6 weeks. so this means my results were in normal range although at the lower end, I'm so confused now. Has anyone here had a miscarriage and remembers what their HCG was? I don't want to cling onto some small hope if there is none.

I think it's more the fact that at those hcg levels, they should be able to see something on the scan. Anything above 1000, and certainly 1500 should be visible - that's what I've always read...

I'm really sorry you're going through this, but I wouldn't be getting my hopes up.

Agree with PP, doesn’t sound like it will turn out well I’m sorry :( assuming they did an internal scan. If you’re certain of your dates then they should also be able to see something. Sometimes there can be exceptions which is why you will need to wait and see with more blood tests - but it’s probably best to prepare yourself :(

Also - I hope they talked to you about ectopic? Make sure you go back sooner if you get any new symptoms (pain, bleeding, dizzy/fainting, shoulder pain).

I’m 10 weeks pregnant, started spotting on Saturday afternoon with it being a pinkish colour. Then gradually started getting heavier, I passed a clot which was fairly big then tiny ones after that, just looked like blood clots no tissue? I went to a and e as it was a bank holiday they took my bloods said my hcg levels are still really high got a scan in the early pregnancy department tomorrow. Still bleeding a little but no cramps. Bleeding is worse when I wake up in the morning or occasionally when I stand up. The blood is bright red, am I miscarrying? I’ve heard of a sub chronic hematoma. Midwife said it could be a ‘hiding twin’ as my levels are so high. Any information anyone can tell me please, my cervix is closed and they felt my stomach apparently it feels okay, I’m so scared that I’m going to have my scan tomorrow and they are going to say there is no heartbeat.

@Vimeo0 you'd be better off starting your own post for replies on this.
Unfortunately all you can do is wait and see, could go either way so prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Good luck

Okay, I really don’t want to loose my baby
